Иан Эстбери официально покинул Riders On The Storm.

THE CULT vocalist Ian Astbury has officially moved on from working with Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger of THE DOORS. The band, performing under the moniker RIDERS ON THE STORM, has toured the world extensively over the past four years, and had just completed a sold-out 13-date tour of Europe. Astbury, who is now fully engaged in re-launching THE CULT alongside guitarist Billy Duffy, has decided it was time to close that chapter of his musical career.

"I have decided to move on and focus on my own music and legacy," Astbury said in a statement. "I have enjoyed performing and sharing the stage with Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger immensely. I have learned a great deal from the both of them, and it certainly has expanded my abilities as a performer. This has been a difficult decision to make but I feel I would be holding them back as well as myself if I did not depart at this time. Great love and respect to all the fans. Thank you for everything you have shared with me...."

There is no word at press time on his possible replacement; however, RIDERS ON THE STORM manager Tom Vitorino stated that the band will continue to perform, and is currently considering a very short list of vocalists.

As previously reported, THE CULT will make its first live appearance of 2007 on February 24 at California Speedway in Fontana, California. The concert, which begins at 8:00 p.m., is a part of NASCAR's highly successful Rock 'n Racing series. Tickets include admission to the racetrack to view the race and THE CULT's post-race performance.

THE CULT is scheduled to enter the studio this month to begin pre-production on the group's first album since 2001's "Beyond Good and Evil". A fall release is expected. Also planned for release is a DVD of the band's November 13, 2006 concert at Irving Plaza in New York City, tentatively due in April.

THE CULT's current touring lineup includes principals Ian Astbury (vocals) and Billy Duffy (guitar) alongside bassist Chris Wyse, drummer John Tempesta (ex-WHITE ZOMBIE, TESTAMENT, EXODUS, HELMET) and rhythm guitarist Mike Dimkich. New THE CULT European tour dates are being booked for June, with many more shows to follow in the fall and winter.

Back Doors Man, Live In Philadelphia в принципе можно найти в инете, а вот Boot Yer Boot — вряд ли. Дело в том что это довольно редкий сборник бутлежных записей, вышедший тиражом 5000 экземпляров. Сейчас на Амазоне и Эбее цены на него идут от 200 баксов. Но в принципе настоящие хардкорные фаны должны заполучить его, т.к там есть довольно вкусные вещи которые ты нигде не найдешь, а именно Софт Парад в Мэдисон Сквер Гардене, Ченджелинг, Лав Хе Мэдли и Л.А Вумэн в живом исполнении.
