"Eleanor Rigby", 4th week in the Top 10 (UK Record Retailer).
"Yellow Submarine", 4th week in the Top 10 (UK Record Retailer).
1967
It is announced that the Beatles will take the administration of their own business interests.
1968
"Hey Jude" enters the Billboard ranking at number 10, a record for this singles chart.
1969
The Beatles and their wives attend a Bob Dylan concert at the Isle Of Wight Pop Festival.
1971
John and Yoko leave from Heathrow Airport for America and take up residence at the St. Regis Hotel in New York. They are in the process of regaining custody of Yoko's daughter, Kyoko. Little did they know at that time that John would never return to England again.
1972
"Rolling Stone" publishes an interview with Paul, taken backstage at the July 9th concert at the Théâtre Antique in France.
1973
"Live And Let Die" receives a gold disc by the RIAA.
1974
John declares before the Federal Court that Nixon's government tried to deport him for having been one of the organizers of the anti-war march during the republican convention in Miami, 1972.
1976
George Harrison is found guilty of "subconscious plagiarism" of the Ronnie Mack song "He's So Fine" when writing "My Sweet Lord". Earnings from the song were awarded to Mack's estate. The Chiffons then recorded their own version of "My Sweet Lord".
1983
New York's Museum of Broadcasting showcase Beatles achieve clips documentary "The Beatles Early Days" and several other films from the museum's personal collection, including the "Ed Sullivan Show" appearances and excerpts from their Washington, D.C. concert on February 11, 1964.
Abbey Road's Number Two studio presents "The Beatles At Abbey Road", 3 times a day.
In London, Paul joins George Martin at AIR Studios for recordings.
1984
The "Art Of The Beatles" Exhibition, portraying 30 years of the group in the form of cartoons, paintings, photographs, album covers, lithographs and sculptures, continues.
1985
In the US, several radio stations broadcast a special called "The Beatles - Yesterday". It's a 20th anniversary tribute to Paul's classic song.
1987
The "Beatle City" exhibition runs at the West End marketplace in Dallas, Texas.
In the UK, the spoof documentary "Bruce Willis - The Return Of Bruno" is transmitted on BBC2. It features a cameo appearance by Ringo.
1995
Ringo and his All-Starr Band's concert at MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada is cancelled.
1999
In Liverpool, Cavern City Tours holds their annual Beatles Week.
2006
The Times ran a story on the demands of rock stars when on tour. Paul McCartney must have a large arrangement of white Casablanca lilies in his dressing room.
2013
The exhibit Linda McCartney retrospective is displayed at the Kunst Haus Wien in Vienna, Austria. The new exhibition is the first comprehensive retrospective of Linda McCartney’s work featuring 190 of her iconic photographs.
