The Beatles' American 20th anniversary celebrations continue when the 10th annual Beatlefest convention opens in New Jersey.

A pre-recorded interview with George is broadcast on the German ZDF TV program "Na Siekske".

"Put It There" reaches number 32 in the UK singles chart.

George attends Bob Dylan's concert at the Hammersmith Odeon in London. He presents Dylan with a bunch of flowers but does not perform.
1992
The dispute between Apple Corps and EMI Records reaches the High Court of London. Apple makes known their attempts to block EMI from releasing Beatles-related products in formats like DCC (Digital Compact Disc) and MD (Midi Disc) until an agreement can be reached.
1997
At the Museum of Modern Art in Oxford, Yoko's art exhibition "Have You Seen The Horizon Lately" is on display.
2000
In Liverpool, John Lennon's Steinway piano on which he composed "Imagine", went on display at the Beatles Story Museum. The piano was set to be auctioned on the Internet later in the year and was expected to fetch more than a million dollars.
2014
In New York City, the Donald and Mary Oenslager Gallery runs in the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, at Lincoln Center. The library exhibition include tour memorabilia, historic film clips, video interviews with musicians, as well as interactive exhibits.
