During "I'm Down" sessions Paul frequently repeats "Plastic soul, man, plastic soul", revealing it as a negro musicians' sentence to refer to Mick Jagger.

It is announced that plans to film "A Talent For Loving" have been dropped.

The "Sun" reports that Paul has purchased an 18th century windmill. It will become a recording studio, located about five miles from his "Waterfalls" home in Peasmarsh.

The "Art Of The Beatles" Exhibition, portraying 30 years of the group in the form of cartoons, paintings, photographs, album covers, lithographs and sculptures, continues.
1988
In the UK, the Prince's Trust Concert from 1987 is released on home video.
1990
Ringo and his All-Starr Band perform a special concert at Le Zenith Indoor Arena in Paris.
1991
The MPL promo video for the live version of "Birthday", from Paul's tour, is released in Japan by Toshiba-EMI.
1992
In the UK, the TV special "The Making Of Sgt. Pepper" airs on the ITV network.
1993
In the US, Fox Network broadcasts a special two-part interview with Paul. He even appeared in a special TV trailer to promote his concert in Charolette, North Carolina.
1995
Ringo and his All-Starr Band open their Japanese tour at the Iwate Kenmin Kaikan, Morioka.
A pre-taped interview with Ringo is broadcasted on the Fuji TV program "Super Time.
The ITV network announces that they have secured the rights to broadcast "The Beatles Anthology", paying the sum of £5 million.
Early announcements indicate the six-part "Anthology" will air in 41 countries and dubbed into 20 different languages.
1999
In the UK, Lloyd's/TSB conducted a nationwide survey for Britain's greatest musical asset. In the "under 24" poll, the Beatles received 52% of the votes. Robbie Williams was a distant second with only 13%. In the poll for all age groups, the Beatles garnered 44%. The Rolling Stones, who just finished the UK leg of their tour, received only 3%.
Paul's art exhibition at the Kunstforum Lyz in Hamburg with 75 of his 500 private paintings.
An exhibition by Cynthia Lennon and Phyllis McKenzie at the KDK Gallery in London continues.
An exhibition of Dezo Hoffman's Beatles' photographs runs at the Park West Gallery in Southfield, Michigan.

2012
Ringo and his All-Starr Band perform at Fallsview Casino, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
Ringo's birthplace in Liverpool is saved from the threat of demolition. The house, a run-down three-bedroom Victorian terrace but Beatles fans and city residents had successfully lobbied to save the house, along with 15 others in the area. The Liverpool City Council has agreed to give locals the opportunity to fix up the properties.
2013
Paul appears at the Manchester Farm for Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Manchester, TN.
The exhibit Linda McCartney retrospective is displayed at the Kunst Haus Wien in Vienna, Austria. The new exhibition is the first comprehensive retrospective of Linda McCartney’s work featuring 190 of her iconic photographs.
2014
Paul's concerts in the US during June are rescheduled for October.
Ringo and his All-Starr Band perform at Oakdale Theater, Wallingford, CT (2014 Tour).
