Уважаю каждого в отдельности как Музыкантов , а в целом после прослушивания , ощущение того что тебя круто надули(имхо) в плане ,не ожидал услышать от таких монстров арт-рока , такой откровенно танцевальный попс (хотя и каКчественный)

The release of Asia's new studio album "Silent Nation" has been delayed for about a month. The release dates are now:

- August 30 in Europe
- August 31 in North America

In addition, their label, InsideOut, has posted the following on their US web site:

"Asia will offer their fans a choice when their new album Silent Nation comes out August 31. It will be available in both a standard, music-only version, and as a special edition that comes with a DVD called 'The Making Of Silent Nation.' The DVD will have new interviews with the band members and footage of them working on 'Silent Nation.' Asia is planning a summer tour of North America. The first announced show is June 16th at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan, on a bill with Kansas."

The "summer tour" is just the June dates announced so far.

Арт-рокеры Asia посетят Россию

Британская группа Asia посетит Россию в ходе своего европейского тура. Выступление рок-музыкантов пройдет в Санкт-Петербурге в ДС "Юбилейный" 13 февраля. Турне проходит в поддержку последнего альбома "Silent Nation", вышедшего 31 августа. Похоже, это уже становится традицией, что западные музыканты объезжают стороной Москву, печально известную многочисленными терактами, предпочитая ей более безопасную вторую столицу.
Супергруппа Asia была сформирована в 1981 году. Тогда в ее состав вошли Джон Уэттон из King Crimson, Карл Палмер из Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Стив Хоу и Джефф Даунс из Yes. С тех пор группа несколько раз распадалась и возрождалась, что не помешало ей выпустить 27 альбомов.

Новый проект Уэттона/Даунса под названием Icon выходит 16 мая на Frontier Records. В записи участвовали Steve Christey (Jadis) on drums, John Mitchell (Arena, Kino) on guitars, Annie Haslam (Ranaissance), Ian McDonald (Foreigner, King Crimson), Hugh McDowell (ELO).

WETTON/DOWNES TURN UP THE HEAT:
Wetton/Downes - a new EP titled Heat Of The Moment 05. Released August 29, this new EP features two band newly recorded versions of Asia classics - Heat of the Moment and The Smile Has Left Your Eyes, plus two re-mixed tracks from the successful Icon album and one new song!
With a brand new recording of the all time Asia classic number Heat of The Moment (the original version appears on Asia eponymous debut - 1982's best selling album worldwide) and a similarly reworked version of The Smile Has Left Your Eyes (original version on 1983's Alpha) - the pair shows they still have a lot to offer to their loyal fan base.
Heat of The Moment this year has also been licensed in its original version - as lead song for Pierce Brosnan's latest film The Matador.
An orchestral re-mix of two of the leading tracks taken from their new CD and a brand new track There In Your Bed make this release a real treat for the fans.

ASIA Part Ways With Ex-AC/DC Drummer, Announce Replacement - Aug. 14, 2005

Hot off their successful world tour in support of their fan and critically acclaimed album "Silent Nation", ASIA have parted amicably with drummer Chris Slade (THE FIRM, AC/DC). Replacing Slade in the group's lineup is Jay Schellen (BADFINGER, HURRICANE). "Jay was always our first choice as a replacement drummer for ASIA," vocalist John Payne revealed. "He played on the demos for some of the 'Silent Nation' tracks and we just clicked right from the start!"

Jay is a very well respect drummer in both the studio and on the stage. He has graced the ranks of such notable acts as BADFINGER and HURRICANE. Most recently, Jay participated in the Chris Squire/Billy Sherwood project, CONSPIRACY. ASIA founding member Geoff Downes added, "We are very happy to welcome Jay to the ASIA family and look forward to creating some of our best work to date with him behind the drum kit. We would just like to add that we wish Chris all the best and he will always remain a friend of ASIA."

ASIA have just entered the studio to begin recording their follow-up to 2004's "Silent Nation". The album, tentatively called "Architect of Time", will be released sometime in the first half of 2006 on InsideOut Music.

Первый альбом крут необычайно! Вообще очень несчастливая банда, мы с Настей ходили на концерт, когда она была на 9 месяце. После 2 песни ушли, ребенок начал брыкаться, очень громкий и плохой звук был. Ну хоть посмотрели на Джоффри и Криса Слзйда. А вообще нравится. Хорошие чуваки.

Помнится, в начале 90-х пытался смотреть их концерт в Москве по телевизору. Чуть не уснул минут через десять.

офигительный диск!! Ни в какое сравнение с Азией не идёт..
По поводу надувательства.. Был Такой проект GTR в котором были Хаккет(Дженезис) и Хауи(Йес, Азия) так вот это дерьмо похлесче Азии будет. Хотя есть один диск у Азии, который я слушаю с очень большим удовольствием-это Aura 2001 года

Как-то давно по телевидению показывали их московский концерт. Уснул в кресле у телевизора.

Вот это самая приятная новость этого года. Не очень нравится заголовок, в плане "проект", но можно простить, ибо тогда это не значило то, что значит сейчас. Мощные парни просто были на отдыхе, и красиво объяснили американским парням, вроде Styx, КТО НА САМОМ ДЕЛЕ в лесу ЭТОГО ВИДА рок-музыки ХОЗЯИН. А если к нам приедут, то буду соревноваться на скорость с желающими купить билет.
