We're pleased to announce the release on 11th September 2006 of Steve's new studio album "Wild Orchids".

After 2003’s acclaimed rock album To Watch The Storms and its classical successor Metamorpheus from 2005, Steve now presents Wild Orchids, an album that is in many ways a synthesis of its predecessors

Steve surpasses even the diversity of style and mood found on Storms and at the same time presents an even more homogenous album

"Each album is an adventure. A search for a place without boundaries where cultures collide in order to influence one another..."

The album integrates a classical element on a much grander scale than ever before. But is it still rock? As Steve says, “Rock gets 'bigger' when you add an orchestra” and this is exactly what he did!

In addition to regular Hackett 'acolytes' Roger King, John Hackett, Rob Townsend, Gary O’Toole and others who previously contributed to Storms, Steve also utilised his Underworld Orchestra, with whom he recorded Metamorpheus

Genesis Will Reform Next Year For Tour
But without Peter Gabriel...

Genesis’ long-mooted reunion will go ahead next year – but without original member Peter Gabriel.

Gabriel had said he would rejoin the band for the first time in decades for a reunion tour – but his schedule wouldn’t allow anything to happen until 2008.

In now appears Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks – who had a string of hits in the eighties - will now go ahead without him, undertaking a money-spinning tour of America and Europe themselves.

According to a report in the Sunday Mirror, Collins is particularly keen to get on with it after kicking his feels following his split from his third wife earlier this year.

Любопытно, но не как оценка творчества Genesis, а как характеристика "чела", полагающего, что такую музыку можно оценить с первого прослушивания. "Я вот тут послушал, и вот что я вам скажу..." Вроде Н.С.Хрущева.

Eighties rock giants GENESIS are reforming a decade after lead singer PHIL COLLINS left the group to focus on a solo career. Collins, MIKE RUTHERFORD and TONY BANKS will reunite next year (07) to embark on a tour of the US and Europe. In their heyday, the group sold more than 130 million records worldwide with hits such as TURN IT ON AGAIN, I CAN'T DANCE and INVISIBLE TOUCH, and are still one of the Top 30 biggest-selling music acts of all time. A friend of Collins tells, "The band really want to get it on again. "They always remained friends and just thought it was time to begin again, especially since Phil's break-up with (third wife) ORIANNE has left him with time on his hands." A spokesman for the group says, "Genesis were huge in Britain and America and there remains a lot of affection for them. "And the tour is likely to make them millions."
