Фирма DIGITECH решила порадовать играющих клЭптоманов (не путать с клептоманами) гитарным эффектом, который поможет добиться Эриковского звука. Педаль была создана под руководством САМОГО и его гитарного техника Lee Dickson.

Robert Stigwood Looks Forward to a Cream Reunion (3 January 2005)

2005 will be the year when we see the reformation of Eric Clapton's classic rock and blues band Cream.

One man looking forward to the reunion is their original manager Robert Stigwood. Although UK dates are currently being put in place, Stigwood will believe it when he sees it. "I hope it happens" he tells Undercover News. "It will be very hard to get Eric (Clapton) serious".

Stigwood bought Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce together in 1966 to form Cream. "I founded them, you know" a proud Stigwood tells Undercover.

Steve Winwood recently contributed to a song that's slated to appear on Eric Clapton's next studio album. "It was really great to reconnect with Eric after so long," he writes about his one-time Blind Faith bandmate in an online post. Winwood also plans to put out a live album early this year, as well as mount another tour. A Traffic DVD also is in the works for a 2005 release.

На DVD "CROSSROADS GUITAR FESTIVAL", обнаружен потайной трэк!!!
Для того, чтобы его найти надо проделать следующие манипуляции...
На втором диске зайти в директорию EXTRAS, там выбрать MAIN и нажать кнопку "влево" на пультовом навигаторе.
После этого нажать ENTER и...смотрите ЛЭЙЛУ, которая не анонсирована на обложке.

Опаньки, получилося….
Эрик смешной такой: дачник-пенсионер, авоськи с кефиром не хватает :) в конце первой части «Лэйлы» в момент исполнения соло аж ладоф не хватило , аж с коврика своего убежал :)

STARS SING CLAPTON'S TRACK FOR TSUNAMI VICTIMS

SHARON OSBOURNE has enlisted a host of stars to cover ERIC CLAPTON's tragic song TEARS IN HEAVEN for a charity single to raise money for the victims of the Indian Ocean tsunami.

The rock matriarch has joined forces with arch-rival SIMON COWELL to produce a star-studded remake of the 1992 song Clapton wrote following the death of his four-year-old son CONOR, who was killed when he fell from a 53rd floor apartment window.

Osbourne says, "We approached Eric and his lawyers and everyone else said yes straight away - we could not think of a more appropriate song."

The song will include the vocal talents of ROD STEWART, ROBBIE WILLIAMS, SIR ELTON JOHN, AEROSMITH frontman STEVEN TYLER, GWEN STEFANI and OZZY and KELLY OSBOURNE.

Cowell is in talks for WESTLIFE, WILL YOUNG and BRIAN McFADDEN to join the track, which will be released on SONY and BMG RECORDS.

Osbourne adds, "The people taking part are spread all over the world. They will probably have to record their parts in local studios and then we can put them all together."

Stadium will stage tsunami show

Cardiff's Millennium Stadium is to stage a 'Live Aid' style concert to raise money for the Asian tsunami disaster appeal, it has been announced.

Stadium bosses said the charity gig on 22 January aimed to raise ?1m.

Guitar legend Eric Clapton is to appear along with rock band Feeder and singers Lemar, Katherine Jenkins and Aled Jones. Other acts will be named later.

UK pop stars plan 'Live Aid II' for tsunami victims

British pop and rock stars headlined by guitar legend Eric Clapton are to play a concert this month in aid of victims of the Asian tsunami, organisers have said.

Clapton was the first big star confirmed, along with British acts such as soul singer Lemar and band Feeder, with more famous names expected to be confirmed later for the gig, which will be held on January 22.

Perhaps inevitably, the concert at the Millennium Stadium sports ground in the Welsh capital of Cardiff has already been dubbed "Live Aid II", after the massive 1985 concerts in Britain and the United States in aid of Ethiopia.

"We have a number of irons in the fire but I don't want to confirm anything until people say yes," said Millennium Stadium general manager Paul Sergeant on Friday about the prospect of other stars joining the bill.

"Not only have people been offering their own labour and cash but in one instance someone offered their own personal jet," he said.

"We have got to cram in at least six months of work into two weeks. It is doable if everybody pulls together.
