The Beatles perform at "Operation Big Beat II" at the Tower Ballroom in New Brighton, Wallsey. Emile Ford (pictured) and Davy Jones also appear on the bill.

Brian sends a birthday greetings telegram to Pete Best: "Congratulations, many happy returns, all the best, John, Paul, George, Ringo and Brian."

At the Kolnischer Kunstverein in Cologne, West Germany, the exhibition of Yoko's work "Happening And Fluxus" is shown.
1972

UK album release: Tommy (Ode 99001), by the London Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Choir and Guest Soloists, featuring Ringo on vocals for the tracks "Fiddle About" and "Tommy's Holiday Camp".

Paul gives an interview for the Independent London station "Capitol Radio".
1974
At the Record Plant studios in New York, rehearsal for Elton John's concert at the Madison Square Garden, with John.
George performs in concert at the Hofheinz Pavilion, Houston, Texas ("North American Tour").
1975
At Denham's Memorial Hall in Buckinghamshire, the Rutles are filmed performing the song "I Must Be Love" for inclusion in the BBC2 comedy series "Rutland Weekend Television".
1976
US album release: Thirty Three & 1/3 (Dark Horse DH 3005).
At the Winterland in San Francisco, Ringo appears on drums with The Band performing the song "I Shall Be Released" at their farewell performance. The concert is filmed by United Artists and released as the film "The Last Waltz".
1977

1979
Wings perform in concert at the Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool, England ("Wings UK Tour").
1981
Ringo makes a live appearance on the "Merv Griffin Show".

At the Beverly Theater in Los Angeles, the stage play "Beatlemania" runs for a limited time.
Paul and Linda arrive in Paris to prepare for Linda's exhibition which opens tomorrow.

Ringo records the narration for 26 more episodes of "Thomas The Tank Engine And Friends".
In the UK, an interview with Paul is published in the teen pop magazine "Smash Hits".

In the US, ABC TV's "Oprah" broadcasts the taped interview with Paul (recorded November 20, 1997). The edited version of the promo video for "Beautiful Night" is also aired.
