Afternoon. The Rolling Stones rehearse at the Ken Colyer Club. John, Paul and Andrew Oldham attend. John and Paul offer "I Wanna Be Your Man" to them.
The "Daily Mirror" publishes the first long interview with the Beatles.

It is reported that Brian is handling negotiations for the British screenings of "The Beatles", US television cartoon series.

At their St. Regis Hotel room, John and Yoko begin recording the soundtrack to their unreleased film "Clock".

In New York, a Manhattan woman files suit against Yoko for over $1,000,000. The woman claims her child's arm was broke during a dispute on the front lawn of the Lennon's property.

Part 15 of "Ringo's Yellow Submarine" series on the ABC Radio Network.
New York's Museum of Broadcasting showcase Beatles achieve clips documentary "The Beatles Early Days" and several other films from the museum's personal collection, including the "Ed Sullivan Show" appearances and excerpts from their Washington, D.C. concert on February 11, 1964.
Abbey Road's Number Two studio presents "The Beatles At Abbey Road", 3 times a day.
The 20th anniversary issue of "She Loves You" number 45 (UK Record Retailer).
In the US, MTV broadcasts the 1979 Concert For Kampuchea, featuring Wings.

The "Art Of The Beatles" Exhibition, portraying 30 years of the group in the form of cartoons, paintings, photographs, album covers, lithographs and sculptures, continues.
1987
The "Beatle City" exhibition runs at the West End marketplace in Dallas, Texas.
1988
At the NFT (National Film Theatre) in London, a celebration honoring Handmade Films. All of Handmade films are shown from "Monty Python's Meaning Of Life" to the current release, "Track 29".

In the UK, the home videos of "Thomas The Tank Engine And Friends" are released as part of the "Watch & Play" children's series.
1992
In the US, Ringo appears in a comedy sketch during the annual "MTV Music Video Awards Show".

In the UK, the documentary on the making of the Help! charity album is transmitted on Channel 4.
1996
Music journalist Ray Coleman dies of cancer. Coleman had worked with the Beatles and the Rolling Stones and had been the editor of the UK music weekly Melody Maker throughout the heyday of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, into the era of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.
1998
In London, VH-1 Europe hosts a press conference for the upcoming 20-part sreies "Ed Sullivan Rock 'n' Roll Classics".
1999
Paul McCartney made headline news after being seen at a New York City party minus one of his front teeth after a crown broke off when he was eating. He'd lost the tooth in a motorcycle accident in 1967.
2005
"A Day In The Life" from Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was voted the best British song of all time by music experts. The survey by Q magazine called the track "the ultimate sonic rendition of what it means to be British". "Help!" came in at #12.
2009
BBC Four airs the program "The Beatles: The First US Visit" and the documentary "Filming The Beatles' First US Visit: Albert Maysles".
2013
In Los Angeles, the exhibition "The Early Beatles Collection," featuring images taken by Astrid Kirchherr, runs at the Leica Gallery. Images include pictures taken during the filming of "A Hard Day's Night" in 1964 for Stern Magazine, as well as some of the images she took of the musicians during their Hamburg, Germany, period in 1960.
The exhibit Linda McCartney retrospective is displayed at the Kunst Haus Wien in Vienna, Austria. The new exhibition is the first comprehensive retrospective of Linda McCartney’s work featuring 190 of her iconic photographs.
