Drummer Tommy Moore makes the fateful decision to quit the Beatles and return to his job of driving a forklift at Garston bottle works. He is briefly replaced by Norman Chapman, who was called into National Service after just three gigs.
1962

The Beatles and Jimmy Nicol arrive in Australia.
1965
The Beatles are named to the Order of the British Empire on the Queen Elizabeth II's birthday honors list published this day.
Night: Brian flies to Blackpool to see Billy J. Kramer with the Dakotas play at the North Pier Theatre. Before leaving, he orders flowers for the parents of each Beatle, to coincide with the lifting of the news embargo that the Beatles have been awarded the MBE.
Paul returns from holiday in Portugal, at Brian's request, to attend the next day's press conference.
1966

At Abbey Road Studio Two, Wings hold a press launch for their new album Back To The Egg. The first screening of the film "Rockestra" is held inside for the guests.

Ringo and Barbara announce that they plan to marry in a few weeks.
