Kate Bush to release new studio album in November?
EMI executive says label are preparing for a November release of Bush's new album

Kate Bush is set to release a new album later this year, according to an EMI executive.

The singer, who released the collection 'Director's Cut' earlier this year, is rumoured to be releasing another new album late in 2011, according to comments from Mark Poston, the company chair of EMI Australia.

Speaking to the Star Observer, Poston said: "Of course, you can never be sure with Kate Bush. She does things at her own pace. But we've been told to prepare for a November release."

The singer is known to have been working on a new album and said back in May she said that she'd done "most of the writing" for an album of new material.

At the time she admitted that she finds it "stressful" that there are such long gaps between her albums, adding: "It's very frustrating the albums take as long as they do. I wish there weren't such big gaps between them."

'Director's Cut', released in May, was a collection of re-recorded versions of tracks from her 1989 album 'The Sensual World' and 1993's 'The Red Shoes'.

The album was her first since 2005's 'Aerial' and went to Number Two in the album charts narrowly missing out on the top spot due to the continued success of Adele's '21'.

Насколько помню, битловская Come Together принадлежала ему как покупателю права на песни Битлз. любопытно, кто раньше из них эту вещь перепел. Лично мне оба варианта по кайфу, хотя версия Кейт кажется интереснее)

и что интересно
замечаю - далеко не все воспринимают кошечку Катю, в особенности ее голос. но зато если потом (или сразу) теряют голову от нее и того что она делает - это скорее все уже навсегда на всю целую жизнь))
нет такого чтобы потом когда-нибудь разонравилось. нравится все больше)))

Kate to release brand new album: "50 Words For Snow" in November

We are extremely pleased to announce that Kate will be releasing a brand new album: "50 Words For Snow" on 21 November 2011

The album will be the second release from Kate's own label Fish People and comprises all new material that was recorded during the same period that Kate worked on her album “Director’s Cut”.

“50 Words For Snow” will feature seven brand new tracks set against a background of falling snow. The total running time is 65 minutes and the track listing is:

распоясалась бабулька! как же мне нравится новый альбом - подвижки были слышны уже в "Director's Cut".
"Aerial" получился каким-то фригидным, хоть и симпатишным, а тут - постклимактерическая энергия приямо хлещет. Интересно, что половина ее собственных фанов (по обзорам нем. и ангязычных форумов) недовольна и желают ей всяких страшностей. Правда, это в основном, народ для которого "HOL" являeтся вершиной катиного творчества.
Я надеюсь, что Катя больше не станет кокетничать с рокопопом - времени мало. А так, пусть играет в свои страшные снеговиковые куклы, если это доставляет ей удовольствие,
лишь бы продолжала писать музыку!

Portfolio: John Carder Bush

I started photographing my sister Kate in my early twenties, when she was eight. We used soft, afternoon light, clothes from jumble sales as costumes, props from anything we could find, and we took the photos in the atmospheric, shadowy corners of the old farm in Kent where we lived.

We used a Fuji half-frame camera, which meant you could get twice as many shots from a single roll of film than on a normal 35mm camera, and most of the exposure and aperture settings were pure guesswork. Kate's ability to empathise with the mood I was trying to create was remarkable for someone so young.

Of course, neither of us had any idea of what lay ahead 10 years later, although in hindsight, I think it's possible to see the emergence of someone unusual, beautiful and able to project even in these early photos. Personally, I see a summer's afternoon: she has just got back from school, is tired and probably hungry, but is happy to pose for her brother in outfits that are usually too big for her. I see my little sister Cathy, and I remember the fun we had making the photos together.

A few months ago, in contrast to those distant childhood sessions, I was photographing Kate with studio lights, digital camera, computer, with make-up artists, hair artists, and clothes artists, for photos to be used for the release of [her albums] Director's Cut and 50 Words for Snow. As I composed the frame and focused on those unchanged eyes, I experienced just the same feeling as I did when she was eight. I realised that I'm still looking for the same person I saw all those years ago, before I release the shutter and, wonderfully, I still find her. John Carder Bush
