Хорошо идут продажи билетов на концерты летнего мини-турне Роджера! Почти все билеты на Берлинское щоу Роджера распроданы!

В эту субботы поступили в продажу билеты на его выступление в Ослов в рамках Фестиваля Norwegian Wood...и в течение 18 мин. же были распроданы (SOLD OUT)!

Выступления преимущественно состоят из старых произведений маэстро. Это различные песни Роджера, выпущенные в рамках группы Пинка Флойда в 70-х, и сольные песни, в 1-й пол. программы, и живое исполнение сюиты The Dark Side Of The Moon - целиком, во второй половине программы.

Другое шоу, на которое уже поступили в продажу билеты, это выступление на Фестивале Roskidle. Продажи билетов идут также хорошо!

Pink Floyd rocker Roger Waters will perform the band's legendary Dark Side Of Moon album live at a Danish summer festival - as a solo artist.

The bassist, 62, rediscovered his love with the songs from the 1973 LP when the band reformed for Live 8 last July, but he would rather play alone than take to the stage with estranged bandmate Dave Gilmour again.

A source tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "Roger feels reinvigorated after the one-off reunion. He can't wait to play Dark Side Of The Moon in its entirety, even if it's in a gig by himself."

Waters played Pink Floyd's The Wall album in Berlin in 1990 after the city's infamous wall was pulled down.

Waters going solo for "Dark Side Of The Moon"

Roger Waters is set to revisit Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" masterwork this summer, with a live performance at a Danish music festival.

According to a report in today's Daily Mirror, the 62-year-old is said to have been inspired by the band's one-off reformation at last summer's Live 8, and is looking forward to perform the complete set of tracks from the 1973 classic this summer at Roskilde.

"Roger feels reinvigorated after the one-off reunion. He can't wait to play Dark Side Of The Moon in its entirety, even if it's in a gig by himself," a source reveals.

Other acts on the festival bill include Franz Ferdinand and Tool.

It had been previously announced by Roger Waters' management that Roger would likely be touring the US after completing his next upcoming solo album, expected to be released sometime in 2007.

However, on February 11th, there was a surprise announcement in several Portuguese newspapers and websites that Roger Waters will headline the World Stage Friday June 2nd for the next Rock in Rio-Lisboa Festival, the same day Carlos Santana, Rui Veloso and Jota Quest are scheduled to perform.

Since the announcement of the Lisbon show, reports have appeared of scheduled performances elsewhere across Europe. A recent article in the German newspaper, "Sueddeutsche Zeitung", reported that Roger Waters will stage a very special rendition of the Pink Floyd classic "Dark Side Of The Moon" in Berlin on June 8th. The article states that Roger wants to stage a unique audio show of the concept album at the Berlin "Wuhlheide". He deliberately chose a relatively small venue, seating only 17,000.

The performance of the special rendition of Dark Side of the Moon is said to be a previously unheard "extended version" of the concept album, which Waters said he was not able to realize in the early 70's due to technical prohibitions, and will be the main part of a concert. Of course other songs by Roger Waters and Pink Floyd will also be played.

Another show was reported by the Dutch Progressive Rock Pages website, stating that Roger will be playing the Arrow Rock Festival in Lichtenvoorde, the Netherlands, on June 9th. Other artists performing at that festival include Deep Purple, Status Quo, and Journey.

Norwegian state TV channel NRK as well as other Norwegian newspapers also reported that Roger Waters has been confirmed to appear at the annual Norwegian Wood Festival in Oslo, on its first day, June 14th. During the concert it's been reported that Roger will perform classic Pink Floyd songs, as well as a complete performance of "Dark Side of the Moon".

Reports that Roger was due to perform at perhaps fifteen festivals throughout Europe this summer set the whole Pink Floyd world on it's ear with excitement, but no one could get any confirmation of these reports.

REG sources however confirmed to our fan club that Roger will indeed be embarking on a Summer 2006 European tour, zigzagging up and down, between Northern and Southern Europe. And although REG - The International Roger Waters Fan Club was the first to confirm and to announce the complete itinerary of Roger's Summer 2006 Tour, we were recently asked to post only those dates that have been confirmed. Therefore many dates have been removed until they can be confirmed by Roger Waters Management. We will post new concert dates as they become available to us.

The shows we've heard about so far are to be out-door concerts, most of which will likely be Roger Waters solo concerts, though several are festivals where Roger will headline with other artists. Set lengths may vary from show to show, but the Lisbon performance is planned to last at least two hours.

In addition to the June 2nd World Stage Waters performance, the Rio-Lisboa Festival will include a full line-up of some of the worlds top performers. The Festival is scheduled for May 26th and 27th, and June 2nd, 3rd and 4th 2006. Guitar fans will have a golden opportunity to watch their idols perform on what promises to be a remarkable night - the first day of the second weekend of the biggest music and entertainment event in the world.

This is only the second time that the founder of Pink Floyd has performed in Lisbon, since he began the second part of his 2002 "In The Flesh" Tour with two concerts in Lisbon, setting the stage for a spectacular show.

After the unexpected Pink Floyd reunion at Live 8, there has been speculation the last few months, about the return of this legendary band, but this has been nothing more than rumors thus far.

At press time there is no word on what musicians will be accompanying Roger on the tour, however it's speculated that at the least, one will be Andy Fairweather-Low. REG will bring you more information as we have it.

i got the information from Thibaut Delloye a french guy who works for a company called ETO Marketing Services. Seems as if this company has a lot to do with a forthcoming Dark Side of the Moon Waters concert in France. For me it seems a very good source. at least half official - if they want to stream a pressconference! but of course no word from the official side yet!

Scholars from across the globe contribute essays

Ashgate Publishing will publish a book devoted to Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album in November 2005.

"Speak to Me: The Legacy of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon" will contain 14 essays, three interviews and a 50-page annotated bibliography.

Literary and music scholars from across the globe will contribute the essays, all analyzing the 1973 album. "Floydian Slip" host Craig Bailey has written the preface to the book.

The book, part of Ashgate's Popular and Folk Music Series will be edited by Russell Reising, a professor of English at the University of Toledo (Ohio) and editor of Ashgate's "Every Sound There Is: The Beatles' Revolver and the Transformation of Rock and Roll" (2002).

"This is the second of a series of books I'm doing on what I call 'seminal statements of the rock era,'" explains Reising. "My goal is to assemble collections of essays on albums that were pivotal both in the careers of their performers and in the history of rock. To me, these are albums that help define their own eras and have remained powerful forces in the lives of their fans.

"As a group, we come from different disciplines and perspectives, ranging from literary and cultural studies to musicology to neurology," Reising says of his contributors. "Many of the contributors are themselves performers, so that also boosts the ways in which they are engaged with the material."

The books contains three interviews — with "Dark Side" vocalist Clare Torry; Mike Gordon of Phish, who have performed "Dark Side" live; and Michael Goldwasser of Easy Star Records, producer of "Dub Side of the Moon," a reggae interpretation of the album released in 2003.

Ashgate Publishing is a U.K.-based publisher of academic research in the social sciences and humanities.

The band's former bassist/vocalist Roger Waters is gearing up to perform the classic 1973 album "Dark Side of the Moon" in its entirety this summer in France.

Details of the show won't be announced until Monday (Feb. 27), but Waters' official Web site < http://www.rogerwaters2006.com/ > confirms that Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason will join him on stage at the event. It is unclear if the gig will be a one-off or if Waters plans to take "Dark Side" on the road.

With Waters back in the fold, the band performed the "Dark Side" tracks "Breathe" and "Money" as part of its four-song set at Live 8 last summer.

"Roger and I had a lot of bitterness and anger over the years and this was the first time that he had seemed to be wanting to put some of that behind him," Gilmour tells Billboard.com of the Live 8 performance. "And getting rid of anger and hatred is a good thing to do."

"I also thought that if I did not do it I would regret it," he continues. "So there are a lot of reasons for doing it and I did thoroughly enjoy doing it. And it is very good to get over some of the bitterness and very good to have some sort of closure on all of that."
