Так или иначе, небольшими тиражами издавалось много позиций, но многое также уже практически недоступно. Поэтому сложность доставания подобных позиций можно сравнить с нахождением основного количества винила того времени.

Не помню, писали ли мы в другой теме о ДВД - Standing In The Shadows of Motown, этот документальный фильм рассказывающий историю Funk Brothers группы являющейся основным аккомпанемирующим составом практически всех исполнителей Motown в 60х.

Очень интересно было бы посмотреть этот DVD! Я в восторге от игры Funk Brothers! Действительно, теневые герои, бойцы невидимого фронта, а каковы молодцы!

Мотауновская продукция на виниле 60х годов - это совсем не раритет en masse. Да и стоит не запредельно. Так что всё доступно)

Бесспорно Мотауновский винил достать не очень сложно, недавно прикупил пачку в среднем по восемь долларов, это пластинки не сравнить по редкости например, c концертом Брауна в Париже за 71 год….
Но для доставания надо затратить достаточно энергии и не каждый на это пойдет, а в России где практически нет рынка продажи подержанных дисков достать некоторые диски совсем непросто.
Например я давно ищу The Bar-Kays - Flying High on Your Love диск был в 90х но сейчас его найти очень непросто, да и винил мне пока не попался. А вроде бы достаточно распространенная позиция…

Вроде фспоминали... Хороший, добрый ностальгич. фильм.
И Чака там к месту была, и старички маху не давали...
Кста, фспоминаю последнюю осень... Вернулся поздно в монреальский отель из джазового клуба (в Монреале джаз-клубы не хуже, чем в NYC)...Усталый, пьяненький, на взводе от хор.жывой музЫки... Плюх в пастель... и вместо того, шоп сполкойненько баиньки, нажал, старый, кнопку от пульта ти-ви... А там как раз и "Стоящие в тенях Моторсити" крутят... Короче, "потребовал продолжение банкета..."

On November 13, 2007 the Decca Label Group will be releasing a new Boyz II Men CD that will be a tribute to some of Motown's Classic songs including The Temptations "Just My Imagination", The Miracles "Tracks Of My Tears", The Four Tops "Reach Out I'll Be There" and more all produced by American Idol's Randy Jackson.
Boyz II Men is the most successful R&B male vocal group of all time. They've recorded five #1 R&B hits between 1992 and 1997 and have since sold more than 90 million albums and 50 million singles.
Three of their #1 hits, "End of the Road", "I'll Make Love to You", and "One Sweet Day" (with Mariah Carey), set and broke records for the longest period of time a single remained at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

To Motown founder Berry Gordy, the Copa was a destination. The mere concept that a roster of black artists from inner-city Detroit who had a few teen hits would perform there, release albums recorded there and be accepted and return there was a revolutionary thought. And it happened. Marvin wanted to be the Motown crooner, to sit on a stool and purr love songs like Perry Como, Nat and Sinatra. When he got his shot, over the first two weekends of August 1966 during a dry hits period, Marvin was game but ambivalent: he chafed at the choreography, prepared little stage patter, wavered a bit during the first set. But reviews were generally good, and Motown sent an eight-track reel-to-reel tape recorder the second weekend to record five shows. Marvin Gaye At The Copa was slated to be released in early 1967, with catalog number Tamla 273, and Motown's art department mocked up a cover. It never happened. The shows were never mixed down for staff review. Marvin never returned to the Copa. Until right now. Hip-O Select's edition represents the best of those shows. Since Marvin didn't do the exact same set every night, now you can feel like you went to every one. Newly and painstakingly remixed, the Select version runs twice as long as what the original LP may have been. Marvin is amped from the opening number, getting the audience involved during "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)," and making the ladies swoon during the sexy Brazilian number, "Laia Ladia (Reza)." His ballads are breathtaking, especially "Night Song," taken from Sammy Davis Jr.'s Broadway show Golden Boy. He takes on Sinatra, re-interpreting "Strangers In The Night," which then was a #1 hit for the Chairman. The Motown Medleys are also a lot of fun, as they include (brief) live versions of his songs he rarely did live and hits by other Motown artists. The Copacabana Orchestra, conducted by Motowns Maurice King, kicks butt from start to finish.

Но выпускает все это не сам Мотаун увы, а независимый лейбл hip-oselect, ценник соответственный увы…
