Produced by Johnny Hamp it was a production built around
John Lennon and Paul McCartney as songwriters.
Their works celebrated by a group of international stars in a fifty minute special!
Recorded over two days 1 & 2 November in Granada’s Television Studio 6 in Quay Street, Manchester.
It was eventually screened in B/W across the London area on Thursday 16 December at 9.40pm.
The rest of the UK getting the opportunity to see the spectacular the following night
Friday 17 December 1965 (same time).
