Что-то никаких грустных новостей про Лемми не наблюдается. Отнюдь, дела у "Головы с мотором" идут неплохо. Вот "Грэмми" получили за лучшее металлическое исполнение. Кроме того, на подходе в июле двойной DVD к 30-летнему юбилею ансамбля с концертом в Дюссельдорфе, снятом в декабре прошлого года на одном диске и документарием - на другом. Юбилей планируют отметить концертом вместе со старыми подругами Girlschool и др. людьми типа Saxon.

LEMMY: 'RINGO WAS UNDERRATED'

MOTORHEAD rocker IAN 'LEMMY' KILMISTER has defended the talents of frequently criticised former BEATLES drummer RINGO STARR.

The heavy metal veteran is a devoted fan of the Fab Four, and is still amazed at the achievements of the much loved English band.

Lemmy says, "Ringo's the most underrated drummer in the history of rock and roll.

"Have you heard what he's doing on TICKET TO RIDE? Who'd have thought of that in those days, man?

"It's like McCartney doing YESTERDAY in 1965 - that c**t was 20 years old!

"I was lucky when I was 20 if I could write my name in the dirt."

MOTÖRHEAD: 'Stage Fright' DVD Details Revealed - May 21, 2005

MOTÖRHEAD will be issuing a 30th anniversary DVD, entitled "Stage Fright", on July 4 via SPV Records. The two-disc set will feature the band's December 7, 2004 concert in Düsseldorf, Germany on one disc and a documentary feature on the second disc.

The Düsseldorf show was shot with 23 high-definition cameras under the direction of Sven Offen (PAPA ROACH, HEATHER NOVA). Gert Hof, famous not only for his work with RAMMSTEIN, was enlisted to take care of the show's light design. The set features 20 songs from the entire MOTÖRHEAD history, including "Overkill", "Ace of Spades" and "Iron Fist". As a special bonus, there is an interactive DVD check with MOTÖRHEAD, with the three musicians contributing lots of interesting comments about the DVD.

There is also an L.A. special, fans' comments and other special features. The icing on the cake is the DVD-ROM part with the "Life's A Bitch" realtone for your mobile, MOTÖRHEAD wallpaper for your PC and mobile, photos from the WrestleMania show in Los Angeles, and an extensive discography. All in all, "Stage Fright" offers over four hours of playing time and comes in DTS 96/24, Dolby digital 5.1 and AC3 stereo sound. It also features subtitles in the following languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.

In conjunction with the DVD's release, MOTÖRHEAD are due to embark on an extensive European tour and are scheduled to shoot their "Whorehouse Blues" video clip at a strip club in London. The 30th anniversary show will take place at the Hammersmith Odeon on June 16, with SAXON and GIRLSCHOOL also appearing on the bill.

According to TheRockRadio.com, MOTÖRHEAD filmed their 30th anniversary show on June 16 show at London's Hammersmith Apollo for a future DVD release. The supporting bands at the gig were GIRLSCHOOL and SAXON.

"Welcome to the 30th anniversary show. We are MOTÖRHEAD; we play rock n' roll," said Lemmy and the band launched into "Doctor Rock" with most of the 5,000 fans headbanging and singing along.

MOTÖRHEAD played most of their classics, including "Over the Top" and "Killed by Death" as well as several tunes from their latest album, "Inferno", saving "Bomber" and "Ace Of Spades" for the encore. The show ended with "Overkill" — as dictated by MOTÖRHEAD tradition.

Motorhead Classics to be Reissued

Motorhead is rightfully regarded as a legend. More than 30 years of turning fans' eardrums and brains into a bloody pulp will do that. Iconic vocalist/bassist Lemmy wouldn't have it any other way.
Three of Motorhead's most important albums -- 1983's 'Another Perfect Day,' 1986's 'Orgasmatron' and 1987's 'Rock 'N' Roll' -- are now getting special treatment. Two-disc deluxe expanded editions of each are being released via Sanctuary Records on March 28, 2006. Supplemental bonus tracks include single B-sides, live versions and rarities. The liner notes include essays, previously unseen photos and images of memorabilia. These reissues were prepared with the assistance of the Motorheadbangers Fan Club.

'Another Perfect Day' found Lemmy and drummer Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor being joined by former Thin Lizzy and Wild Horses guitarist Brian Robertson, who had replaced "Fast" Eddie Clarke. Robertson and Taylor then left the band and Lemmy recruited guitarists Phil Campbell and Wurzel (real name: Mike Burston) and former Saxon drummer Pete Gill. 'Orgasmatron' was the new lineup's first full album (after having recorded four songs for the 'No Remorse' compilation). Gill left and Taylor returned for 'Rock 'N' Roll.'

Motorhead is one of the most musically distinctive and influential bands rock music has ever produced, and 'Another Perfect Day,' 'Orgasmatron' and 'Rock 'N' Roll' prove it in spades -- the ace of spades!

These three new releases are the follow up to 2005’s 2 CD deluxe editions of Bomber, Overkill, Iron Fist and Ace of Spades.

Лемми, как то, рассказал о том, что у него в доме висит здоровенный на всю стену плакат The Beatles. :) Вообще, он очень любит Битлз, а самые его любимые песни это "I Saw Her Standing There" и "Strawberry Fields Forever".
