The "Art Of The Beatles" Exhibition, portraying 30 years of the group in the form of cartoons, paintings, photographs, album covers, lithographs and sculptures, continues.
1986
"Video Jukebox, transmitted on BBC1, airs a six and a half hour special on the history of the pop video, of which the Beatles are a main exponent. Their promo films of "Strawberry Fields Forever", "Penny Lane" and "Hello Goodbye" are screened. Apple threatens the BBC with legal action if: "They broadcast any more material to which we (Apple) have sole ownership, or which might be deemed to exploit the copyright name `Beatles' in any way!"
1987
The second batch of Beatles albums, released on CD, enter the UK charts. Help! reaches number 61, Rubber Soul number 60 and Revolver number 55.
1992
In the US, Ringo appears on the NBC variety show "Dame Edna's Hollywood", hosted by Dame Edna Everage. Ringo joins the host to perform a unique version of "Act Naturally".
