Peter Blake, who designed the Beatles' classic Sgt. Pepper album cover sued the group’s record company for more money. Blake was paid Ј200 for the famous figures in 1967, but was now "cheesed off" that EMI have never offered to pay more money.
2006
U2 topped Rolling Stone magazine’s annual list of the year’s biggest money earners from 2005 with $154.2 million. The Rolling Stones were second with $92.5 million and The Eagles third with 63.2 million. Paul McCartney came in fourth place with $56 million and Elton John was fifth with $48.9 million.
2014
In New York City, the Donald and Mary Oenslager Gallery runs in the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, at Lincoln Center. The library exhibition include tour memorabilia, historic film clips, video interviews with musicians, as well as interactive exhibits.
