Блин, чего с людями время делает... А ведь какая клевая тетка была в свое время...

На мой взгляд, она очень неплохо сохранилась. Можно было бы что-то сделать с волосами...

Кстати, буквально вчера увидел оччень интересный ролик (спасибо другу Льду и Стали, что закатал ТАКИЕ СОКРОВИЩЧА:))): концерт на крыше... Jefferson Airplane! Причем съемка датирована 7.12.1968, т.е. на 1,5 месяца раньше битлов (правда, дело происходит в Нью Йорке, напротив небоскреба RCA). Но все остальное... Стойкое ощущение дежавю! Планы и ракурсы - почти те же, даже "цветность" (так, кажется, это свойство называется - Истманколор) та же самая! Про архитектуру окружающих зданий вообще молчу - улица - "в копейку". Как будто снимали в один и тот же день в одном и том же месте. Звук, глазеющиие толпы внизу и из окошек напротив - все такое же...

Даже полисмены - и те приехали, устроили разгон, Stop The Music и все дела. Правда, нью-Йоркские копы оказались проворнее лондонских коллег - за 7,5 минут (сколько длится ролик) сделали свое дело.

Jefferson Airplane одна из моих любимых групп и вообще я большой поклонник калифорнийского рока, в частности сцены Сан-Франциско 60-х, нравиться и Dead, Quicksilver, Moby Grape.
Американский рок, нравится гораздо больше английского или там других европейцев (не знаю почему).
Лучший альбомы это, даже пожалуй все, выделю Surrealistic Pilow и Volunteers, это два шедевра той эпохе, подлинные документы, первый документ для лета любви 67 года, второй более политический, для осознания пройдено ими и всем движения 60-х пути, чего добились, чего нет.
Всех прошу на мою тему "acid-rock и все такое!". Там как раз по теме.

JEFFERSON AIRPLANE MEMBERS NOT MARKING BAND'S 40th ANNIVERSARY

The Grateful Dead isn't the only San Francisco band celebrating their 40th anniversary this year -- the Jefferson Airplane made their live debut at the Matrix Club in San Francisco 40 years ago tomorrow (August 13th, 1965). While there continue to be rumors of some sort of ceremony from the Dead camp, Airplane bassist Jack Casady told us that he and guitarist Jorma Kaukonen don't plan to do anything special to mark the occasion: "Not at this time, anymore than to go up and be wherever we're gonna be and play our music, and show that we're out there doing it."

Casady and Kaukonen will be at the Fur Peace Ranch in Pomeroy, Ohio, tomorrow, doing a Hot Tuna gig.

The lineup for the first-ever Jefferson Airplane show was: Marty Balin and Signe Toly on vocals, Paul Kantner on vocals and guitar, Kaukonen on lead guitar, Bob Harvey on bass, and Jerry Peloquin on drums. Casady and drummer Skip Spence joined the band two months later.


Singer Grace Slick joined the band a year later when Toly got married, changed her name to Signe Anderson, and had a baby. Slick has retired from rock-and-roll and now makes her living as a painter.

Balin and Kantner tour with the current version of Jefferson Starship.

Dryden died from stomach cancer this past January at age 66.

Anderson, who changed her name to Signe Ettlin after another marriage, retired from singing in 1977, although she has made occasional appearances with bands led by Kantner since then. She's also battled some serious health issues over the years.

Spence left the Airplane to form Moby Grape. He died from lung cancer in April 1999 at age 52.

Близкое знакомство с творчеством Jefferson Airplane начал этим летом. Группа сразу же вошла в список самых любимых. Жаль, правда, что ещё не все альбомы послушал... В коллекции имеется только четыре первых альбома, но в скором времени будет возможность послушать и остальные, включая Volunteers, о котором наслышан, но не имею никакого представления...

Jefferson Airplane were one of the first and foremost phenomenons of the mid-sixties San Francisco psychedelia scene, though it wasn't until their June 1967 performance at the Monterey International Pop Festival that national and international fame was secured. This was the classic Jefferson Airplane line-up, fronted by the marvellous twin vocal attack of Grace Slick and Marty Balin. Paul Kantner provided backing vocals and rhythm guitar while drummer Spencer Dryden had the unenviable task of keeping up with bassist Jack Cassady and lead guitarist Jorma Kukonen. The occasional keyboard, particularly noticeable on 'Today', is played by Slick. The two best-known Jefferson Airplane songs, 'Somebody To Love' and 'White Rabbit', are both here, in versions that stick closely to the studio recordings. But it is tracks like 'The Other Side Of This Life' and 'The Ballad Of You And Me And Pooneil', where the band mirror the meandering intensity of the psychedelic experience, which provide the real highlights.
