Арестован Дэвид Кросби

Рок-звезду 70-х арестовали за хранение наркотиков и оружия
В субботу утром в нью-йоркском отеле по обвинению в хранении наркотиков и оружия был арестован американский музыкант Дэвид Кросби, сообщается сайте телеканала CNN.
62-летний музыкант выписался из отеля, но, уходя оставил возле стойки небольшую сумку. Служащий отеля обратил внимание на сумку, и, заглянув в нее, обнаружил там марихуану, пистолет 45 калибра и два ножа. После этого он вызвал полицию, которая арестовала музыканта, когда тот вернулся за сумкой.

Имя музыканта было дважды занесено в Зал славы рок-н-ролла - Дэвид Кросби был участником знаменитых групп Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young и the Byrds.

В 1985 году Кросби уже отсидел год в тюрьме по обвинению в употреблении наркотиков. Тогда ему удалось выйти на свободу благодаря адвокату, который подал апелляцию.

Сорри - не увидел соответствующего топика по Кросби. Можно переместить туда?

Не стоит переносить, тут случай особый. Дэвиду грозят крупные неприятности, учитывая, что у него уже была отсидка. И зачем старый дурень таскал за собой такое "богатство" ?

Вот , как раз, Дэвиду и нужно взять в адвокаты Джеймса Брауна. Тот специально получил юридическое образование, с одной единственой целью - защитить себя самого! Я думаю, что он бы Дэвиду Кросби бы подсобил. Эх халь нет в живых Фрэнка Заппы, тот бы обязательно заступислся за коллегу...

Charges: Sinatra was brought up on a morality charge for his relationship with a married woman. The charges were eventually dropped two months later.

Charges: The Sex Pistol was arrested and charged with the murder of his then-girlfriend Nancy Spungen. He was busted again in December after allegedly brawling with Patti Smith's brother Todd, and was charged with felonious assault.

50 Cent

Location: New York, New York

Charges: 50 Cent a.k.a. Curtis Jackson was jailed on multiple charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance (heroin and crack-cocaine).

Marilyn Manson

Arrest Date:September 21, 2001

Location: Oakland, Michigan

Charges: Never one to back away from outlandish and revolting behavior, Marilyn Manson was arrested in September of 2001 following an incident at a concert in which he gyrated against the head and neck of a security guard. He was charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and assault and battery, and pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges (he paid a $4,000 fine).

Scott Weiland

Arrest Date:November 19, 2001

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

Charges: Scott Weiland was arrested and charged with domestic violence at the Hard Rock Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas.

Snoop Dog

Arrest Date: August, 1993

Location: Los Angeles, California

Charges: In the midst of the Doggystyle sessions, Snoop was arrested in connection with the death of a rival gang member who was murdered at a gang fight. He was acquitted.

Ozzy Osbourne

Arrest Date: May 15, 1984

Location: Memphis, Tennessee

Charges: After found staggering drunkenly down Beale Street, Ozzy Osbourne was arrested and charged with public intoxication. This charge was surprisingly mild compared to Osbourne's arrest a few years earlier in San Antonio, Texas for urinating on the Alamo.

Mick Jagger

Arrest Date: July 18, 1972

Location:Warwick, Rhode Island

Charges: After a scuffle involving a photographer, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and three other members of their entourage were arrested and charged with assault and obstructing the police. All charges were eventually dropped for the five men.

Marshall Mathers a.k.a. Eminem

Arrest Date: June 3, 2000

Location: Royal Oak, Michigan

Charges: Never one to shy away from an argument, Eminem's June 3, 2000 arrest came a mere twenty-four after being arraigned on assault and weapons charges stemming from an incident involving a member of the Insane Clown Posse's entourage. Clearly not one to learn his lessons easily, Eminem was charged with almost the exact same crime: carrying a concealed weapon and brandishing a firearm in public.

Axl Rose

Arrest Date: July 12, 1992

Location: St. Louis, Missouri

Charges: One year after allegedly inciting the legendary riot at the July 2, 1991 Guns N' Roses show in St. Louis, Axl Rose was arrested and charged with four misdemeanor counts of assault and one count of property damage. Considering the fact that the riot resulted in sixty injuries and two million dollars worth of damage to the Riverport Performing Arts Center, Rose's two years of probation and $50,000 fine seemed like a small price to pay.

Charges: Sean Combs was arrested in December of 1999, unfortunately for him not it wasn't the first nor the last time, on charges of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property after a shooting at a Times Square nightclub. Location: Manalapan, Florida

Charges: Yanni was arrested in early 2006 following an alleged domestic dispute with his girlfriend, Silvia Barthes. A police report stated that the singer threw his girlfriend to the ground and jumped on her after asking her to leave his home. The singer denied the allegations, stating that Barthes kicked him and he believed himself to have injured his finger during the ordeal.

Eagles guitarist Glenn Frey was arrested by Columbus, Ohio cops in May 1973 on drug possession and public intoxication charges.

David Bowie in Rochester, New York following the singer's March 1976 arrest on a felony pot possession charge. Bowie, 29 at the time, was nabbed along with Iggy Pop and two other codefendants at a Rochester hotel following a Saturday concert. Bowie was held in the Monroe County jail for a few hours before being released. The Rochester Police Department mug shot was taken three days after Bowie's arrest, when the performer appeared at City Court for arraignment.

Tupac Shakur was photographed by the New York State Department of Correctional Services in March 1995. The rap star, convicted in December 1994 of the felony sexual abuse of a female fan, spent a few months upstate before being bailed out by producer Suge Knight. Shakur, who was sentenced to 1-1/2-to-4-1/2 years in the can, was murdered in September 1996.

Janis Joplin was arrested in November 1969 in Florida and charged with disorderly conduct after yelling obscenities at police officers during a Tampa concert. Charges were later dropped after it was ruled that the singer's actions were an exercise of free speech.

Country singer Hank Williams Jr. surrendered to the Shelby County Sheriff in April 2006 on a warrant issued by a Tennessee court charging him with assault to commit bodily harm. According to cops, the 56-year-old musician (given name: Randall Hank Williams Jr.) allegedly choked and verbally abused a 19-year-old Memphis hotel waitress in a bizarre incident. Best known for singing the "Monday Night Football" theme "All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight," the performer was released without bond after posing for the below photo.

Country singer Glen Campbell was arrested in November 2003 on drunk driving and hit and run charges. According to Arizona cops, the 67-year-old performer was nabbed shortly after plowing his BMW into another auto at a Phoenix intersection. He left the accident scene, but was arrested at his nearby home, where cops smelled booze on his breath and noted that Campbell looked smashed. After he was booked into a Maricopa County lockup, Campbell kneed a sergeant in the thigh--for which the country star was hit with an aggravated assault on a police officer charge. Campbell posed for the bottom mug shot in July 2004 after checking into a Phoenix lockup to serve the first of ten nights in jail. The singer, now 68, pleaded guilty in May to extreme DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

Frankie Valli was arrested by Columbus, Ohio cops in September 1965. The poor crooner apparently got popped after his manager skipped out on a hotel bill in a neighboring town.
