Ringo and Maureen attend the post-premiere party of "The Magic Christian" at the Climax Club in Hollywood. The film is given it's US premiere in Los Angeles.

Paul and Linda head to New York to meet John and Yoko. During dinner John and Paul come to an agreement to stop "slagging off each other in the press".

New York station WNEW begins a weekend of the entire Beatles recording output from 1962 to 1970 in alphabetical order.

Arlington Theater, Santa Barbara, USA. Show "Pacific Alliance Presents A Water For Life Benefit Concert For A Non-Nuclear Future". Performers, among others: comedian Martin Mull, the Hollywood Rock'n'Roll Revue, and Joe Walsh backed by the Hollywood Rock'n'Roll Revue. The Hollywood Rock'n'Roll Revue plays, among others, "She's About A Mover".
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Beatles' "Please Please Me", the reissue reaches number 29 on the UK charts.

In the US, the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) begins broadcasting the children's show "Shining Time Station", featuring Ringo as Mr. Conductor.

Several radio stations in the US and UK ban Paul's song "Big Boys Bickering" because of his use of profanity in it.

At the Museum of Modern Art in Oxford, Yoko's art exhibition "Have You Seen The Horizon Lately" is on display.

Volkswagen confirms negotiation with Paul, George and Ringo to be involved with marketing the remake of its "beetle".

At 3 Saville Row, a special anniversary takes place to make the 30th anniversary of the Beatles last live public performance, the rooftop concert. (No one mentions that the actually anniversary is the next day.)
In Tampa, Florida, the exhibition of Linda's pictures entitled "Sixties" is on display at the Tampa Museum of Art.
