К сожалению,в Эстонии международных блюзовых фестов не проводят.В отличие от Латвии.Надо спросить у наших латвийских друзей . Слышал,что он пару лет назад чуть не доехал до России.Может,он выступал в Финляндии,тогда его наверняка видел Юри Розенфельд.

Я не музыкант, а любитель, конечно, Тэйлор супер, но то что я увидел на DVD In The Park меня очень сильно рассторило... Признаться, худшего выступления Роллингов я не видел, и как раз с Тэйлором дело было. Слушать это просто невозможно. Видимо, Тэйлор из разряда тех музыкантов, которые лучше всего проявляли себя в условиях студии (или он просто тогда еще не совсем "вошел" в репертуар, ведь это было первое публичное выступление без Браяна).

Ты сам себе ответил:"это было первое публичное выступление без Браяна".Точнее,это было первое выступление Тейлора с роллингами.Послушай,что он выделывал в том же году чуть позднее:живой альбом Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!Кстати,одной из причин ухода Тейлора было то,что ему недоставало работы,живых выступлений.Его постоянно тянуло поучаствовать в других проектах,поджемовать.

По поводу Финляндии знаю точно: выступал в апреле 2003-м , в Хельсинки, Турку , Тампере. И в этом году недавно, кажется в июле финов порадовал...Но где-то в памяти засело, что, всё-таки, и "по эту сторону" "блюзовал"...Но это с сомнениями :) Может кто и подскажет-расскажет про его живую игру на сцене?

Да ладно вам всем Роллинги Роллинги есть группа СПЛИН и без разговоров. Вот они играть умеют а вот Роллинги я даже и не знаю. Потому что я их не когда не слушал. Так что круче группы Сплин группы нету вообще.

Да да так оно и было они Брайн Джонса на гитаре играть учили я сам видел. А еще Лизу Фишер подпивать учили да и еще кое чему)))))))) Ну да ладно дело прошлое все знают.

Честно говоря,не знаю,сколько Мик репетировал перед первым выступлением,но вот что писал один журналист,побывавший в студии уже 12 июля:
"Они звучали легче, чем в былые времена, Кит Ричардс и Мик Тейлор очень симпатично перебрасывались сольными партиями. Так как теперь "Stones" - группа с двумя лидер-гитаристами, они, наверное, станут большее внимание уделять ритму в контексте их стиля - тяжёлого блюз-рока."

Stones Return To 'Rock And Roll Circus'

ABKCO will on Oct. 12 offer the first DVD release of the Rolling Stones' "Rock and Roll Circus." The December 1968 concert was filmed for a television special but was never broadcast. It was finally released on CD and VHS in 1996.

The DVD edition is sourced to the original 16mm negatives, while the audio has been remixed in 5.1 Surround Sound. Commentary tracks are offered from Rolling Stones members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Bill Wyman, plus Yoko Ono, Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson, Marianne Faithfull and director Michael Lindsay-Hogg, among others.

Among the previously unreleased clips are a backstage meeting between Jagger, Ono and John Lennon; an alternate take of Lennon performing the Beatles' "Yer Blues" with Mitch Mitchell, Richards and Eric Clapton; three additional Taj Mahal songs; an interview with the Who's Pete Townshend; and Fatboy Slim's 2003 remix of the Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil."

"Rock and Roll Circus" features the Stones performing tunes that had just appeared on their "Beggars Banquet" album: "Parachute Woman," "No Expectations," "Sympathy for the Devil" and a giddy version of "Salt of the Earth." They also performed their current hit at the time, "Jumpin' Jack Flash" and premiered "You Can't Always Get What You Want," which would debut the following year on the album "Let It Bleed."

Мик Тейлор выступал "по эту сторону" несколько раз, если верить кое-каким источникам - в 1995 г. в Киеве и в 1997 г. в неизвестных украинских городах.
А ещё в конце 2001 г. я видел афиши одного блюзово-пивного фестиваля,
на которых было написано: Mick Taylor Band. Но Мик, как все знают, тогда не выступил. Причём то, что он не приедет, было известно в Интернете задолго до того, как эти афиши были отпечатаны.

Stones' 'Circus' DVD getting big top promo

No moss is gathering on Abkco Records' promotion of its "The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus" DVD, due Oct. 12.

On the evening of Oct. 11, the label will mount rare theatrical showings of the little-seen 1968 feature, which stars the Rolling Stones and other '60s rock luminaries, on more than 50 Regal CineMedia screens across the country. Classic rock stations in each market will be involved with on-air ticket giveaways.

"Rock and Roll Circus" was long one of the most elusive of rock artifacts. Shot Dec. 11-12, 1968, and planned as a BBC-TV special and theatrical release, the 65-minute picture mated the aerialists, fire-eaters and acrobats of Robert Fosset's Circus with the day's top rock talent.

Highlights include the Who blasting through the mini-opera "A Quick One While He's Away" and John Lennon -- backed by an ad hoc supergroup that included Eric Clapton, the Stones' Keith Richards (on bass) and Jimi Hendrix Experience drummer Mitch Mitchell -- making his first solo flight outside the Beatles. Yoko Ono, Jethro Tull, Taj Mahal and Marianne Faithfull rounded out the lineup.

The Stones headlined, playing a six-song set that climaxed with singer Mick Jagger writhing like a man possessed through "Sympathy For the Devil." But the band, exhausted by the daylong shoot, was unhappy with the results.

Abkco senior vp Iris Keitel says, "The Stones and (then-manager and Abkco owner) Allen Klein thought that, because they came on so late, the performances weren't up to par." There were competitive issues as well, she adds: "The Who had just come off the road, and they really kicked ass."

Thus, "Rock and Roll Circus" remained in the vaults for nearly three decades. However, in 1996, the feature was screened at the New York Film Festival to coincide with its first videocassette release.

"It sold out really fast," Keitel recalls. "It was a great experience, seeing it on a big screen."

Rock-friendly Regal hopes to replicate that experience nationwide on Oct. 11. The company has done similar one-night promotions of DVDs from Elvis Presley, the Who, Godsmack and matchbox twenty, among others.

"These shows are really historical events," says Regal vp business development Dan Diamond. "This is the classic rock fan's dream come true."

Regal's sister company AEG Live has lined up radio partners in the Infinity Broadcasting chain for the Stones event. AEG executive vp business development Tommy Nast says, "It's the right radio stations for the right artists."

The day after the big-screen promotion, "Rock and Roll Circus" will hit stores, remastered in 5.1 surround sound, with additional footage; new commentaries by Jagger, Richards, Ono, director Michael Lindsay-Hogg, ex-Stones bassist Bill Wyman, and others; and a film interview with the Who's Pete Townshend.

Keitel says, "It's an important piece of history, and it's something not just for us older folks. Younger folks should see it, to see what the times were, and to see what was possible."

Rolling Stones DVD release of there ROCK &ROLL circus is scheduled for release on October 12th. Extra bonus features with extra songs from Taj Mahal that was'nt in the original and brand new interviews with Mick,Keith and Bill Wyman. Along with Yoko Ono. There's even a song thats called "Close,but no cigar". > The singers are John &Yoko & Mick!!
