Саша, судя по этой теме, я понимаю что к Гилмору ты относишься даже более, чем спокойно. Фактически у нас две темы про PF. (Я не против - хоть десять!) Но Гилмор у тебя как бы в игноре, а он неотъемлимая часть PF, как ни крути. Может быть, ты в силу своих глубоких симпатий к Уотерсу слишком близко к сердцу принял их личные, не очень-то дружеские взаимоотношения?

Напротив. Я не большой поклонник гитары, и его музыка меня не особо трогает.

Я люблю The Final Cut, который игнорирует Гилмор.

И это тема, Коль, прежде всего посвящена творчеству и жизни Роджера Уотерса. Пинк Флойд являлась одной из основных больших глав его творческого пути. Хотя может являлась не совсем верно будет;), судя по нынешним событиям...

Надо просто посмотреть на альбом Гилмора с другой стороны:
на нем будет "скулить" Robert Wyatt. Это автоматически поднимает статус альбома до "надо ознакомиться" :-)

Roger Waters, one of Pink Floyd's co-founders and main lyricist, returned to the band to make the special appearance in London's Hyde Park last summer after an absence of more than 20 years.

Since the late 1970s and their hugely successful album The Wall, the band suffered an acrimonious break-up and a series of legal wrangles.

Their four-song set at the global charity fund-raiser Live 8 was considered by some music fans as the highlight of the whole concert.

In November of last year, the band came together once again to be inducted into the UK's Music Hall of Fame.

The group were chosen to enter the elite group by artists, music journalists, broadcasters and industry executives.

Broadcaster and panel member Paul Gambaccini said at the time: "Pink Floyd have had at least one an album in the American chart without interruption for 32 years."

The rock legends deny press speculation over 2006 tour dates.

Pink Floyd have today issued a statement denying speculation of a live return following feverish press speculation.

The pendulum has swing back and forth on rumours that emerged following the band's triumphant reunion at last year's Live 8 concert [read: Pink Floyd pay tribute with emotional Live 8 set], with both Dave Gilmour and Roger Waters refusing to categorically deny a possible return to live action. However, a Sep.2005 report claimed the band had turned down a potential £130m payday [read: Pink Floyd: No to tour offer].

The latest report had claimed that the group would play a slew of shows later this year at London's Royal Albert Hall, but Dave Gilmour issued a joint statement today with Pink Floyd, giving fans the rundown.

"Nick, Richard, Roger and I are telling fans directly that this is not happening."

Pink Floyd will not reform

Rockers Pink Floyd have slammed new reports of a reunion.

They have been flooded by rumours they are set to reform, ever since they played together at the London leg of the Live 8 charity extravaganza in July.

But stars David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright insist they have no plans to resurrect the band.

In a statement issued by the Gilmour late yesterday reads: "Nick, Richard, Roger and I are telling fans directly that this is not happening."

PINK FLOYD drummer NICK MASON would have become an architect if it wasn't for rock supergroup CREAM.

Mason and founder members ROGER WATERS, RICK WRIGHT and SYD BARRETT were students when they saw ERIC CLAPTON, GINGER BAKER and JACK BRUCE perform in the mid-1960s.

Mason says, "SUNSHINE OF YOUR LOVE turned me from studying architecture to rock 'n' roll.

"We were students at Regent Street Polytechnic and they played at one of our hops. That was the moment I thought, 'Yes, this is what I want to do.'

"I went to see their reunion shows at the Albert Hall (London venue) last year with Roger Waters.

"ALICE COOPER came over especially for that show. It's always nice to see Alice again."
