я кстати летом в какой - то украинской газете читал статью о визите Пола, и там было написано что куча фанов съехалось со всей россии и снг, и что один из них пытался подарить ему какую - то пластинку на рентгеновском снимке. Это не про тебя было случайно?

Подарок от Клуба Битлз.ру (пластинка "на костях") была подарена Маккартни в день его рождения. Лично c Полом к сожалению нам пообщаться не получилось, а подарок передал Lemon Lennon через тур-менеджера Пола Фрейндлиха.

It seems more official that Nigel Godrich is producing the new McCartney album as he has announced it himself on his own website: http://www.nigelgodrich.com . It will definitely have quite a heavy Nigel Godrich influence as two of the last three Travis albums were produced by Nigel and they were recorded at Ocean Way and RAK in London. Obviously favoured by Nigel as he has used these with McCartney. Nigel and Travis also use Jason Falkner and Millenia Strings both also now enlisted for the new album.

Paul is definitely working with Nigel Godrich on the new album, with Paul mostly playing instruments himself (with some exceptions, which you've noted). He has also recorded tracks with David Kahne and the McCartney band, though it's likely those songs will be released at some other time - more recording, I understand, is also possible, in fact.

"MCCARTNEY'S LIFE NOW "HECKTIC"

Music legend Sir Paul McCartney (news) is coming back with his first album since 2001's "Driving Rain." The former Beatle since then has embarked on very successful world tours and it has energized McCartney.


"Yeah, we really had a great time. Got to go to many countries, some new ones we'd never been able to make it to, but we seen the people having a great time and I loved it. I'd love to come back in 2005," said McCartney, 62.


His new album, "Bloomin' Heck," comes out in stores on February 22nd and it marks a new chapter in the former Beatle's life.


Recorded at the legendary Abbey Road studios and in Los Angeles, Sir Paul says this album feels like a "return to form" and he feels the best he's ever done since the Beatles broke up in 1970.


"Yeah, this new album is rockin' and very uplifting, especially after having Beatrice (his 1 year old daughter) but it also sends a message that there is good in the world still, unlike "Driving Rain" which seemed more about coming to terms with a new relationship and all that stuff. I think this album is bloody fantastic and it was great working with the band and I think this is my best work as a solo artist. You'll love it!"


The album's first single, "Follow Me," has been the #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 and has dominated, knocking Usher's "My Boo" off the coveted spot. Usher hasn't taken the news too well.


At the movie premiere of "Alexander," the rap star did not have kind things to say about the former Beatle.


"This news is about as bad as when I found out I couldn't molest 14 year old girls anymore," the rap star said. "I mean, how could I lose the #1 spot to Paul freaking McCartney? I mean, I thought he retired after he left APPA."


The new 12 song set features the melodic "Washington," the danceable "I've Got My Magic Back" and also features a duet with pop star and former American Idol contestant Clay Aiken. Aiken was thrilled at the opportunity to work with McCartney and also made a few interesting declarations about Sir Paul.


"Working with Paul was heaven. We were at this charity event and we met up, got to talking and whew!," Aiken said. "He just blew me away, in more ways than one. Oh my, he really is the cute Beatle, but, uh, anyways, we were talking and the chance just presented itself and there's no way I was going to pass up the opportunity to work with sweet cheeks," Aiken added.


Also making a return is former Beatle Ringo Starr. Starr was very happy to work with McCartney again for the first time since 1997's "Flaming Pie."


"It was great to work with Paul again, peace and love," Starr said. "I used chop sticks to drum on this album, peace and love."


Sessions were halted though for a brief time, when Sir George Martin tried replacing Ringo with drummer Andy White, again. Starr was not thrilled.


"This old bastard did it to me again, peace and love! I was stunned, peace and love! Ringo Rama is still better, peace and love. Andy White still sucks, peace and love."


Also returning to work for McCartney, for the first time in 21 years, is former Beatle producer, Sir George Martin, who is making a comeback to the industry pursuing a solo career. Martin, who duets with McCartney on the epic "India," was thrilled to get the chance to work with Sir Paul again.


"Paul called me up wanting to know if I could produce his new album. I laughed and thought he was joking. He wasn't and I said I didn't do it anymore, but he convinced me," Martin said. Martin then quipped, "even though I can't hear anymore, this album is going to be fantastic!"


This album will mark the first time McCartney has dueted with anyone since 1997's "Flaming Pie," which shot up to the #2 spot on the U.S. Billboard Charts.


"Bloomin' Heck" (Capitol) is released February 21st in the U.K. and February 22nd in the U.S.
