А мне нет, слишком много правды...

Расскажите человеку, не имеюшщему телевизора, что за фильм был.

Я об Элвисе знал не много, а с позновательной точки зрения этот Фильм вроде и не плох, я знал что он в армии служил, но вот так, со свитой, со спец условиями. Это уже не служба, а профонация, ну и как реклама и ему, да и США, смотрите, у нас даже Элвисы под ружье становятся.

А про друзей Элвиса, и про него самого, и про его закидоны и прочая.
Фильм действительно очень откровенный.

Подскажите, пожалуйста, в каком фильме Элвис поет She'so square. Он там в таком свитерке, и делает вид, что его током ударило по ходу песни, так дергается весь.

Vegas Elvis Museum Robbed

Bandits make away with more than $300,000 of Elvis stash

Thieves broke into the Elvis-A-Rama museum in Las Vegas earlier this week and made off with more than a quarter-million dollars worth of Elvis Presley memorabilia.
The heist took only five minutes as the perpetrators rammed a stolen tow truck into the back door of the museum and broke into three display cases with lead pipes. Among the loot taken were a trio of rings (Presley's 1953 high school class ring, an Elvis Day memento ring from the Louisiana Hayride radio show and a diamond ring bought in Vegas), a gold-plated pistol, and other assorted belongings.

One of the museum's prized possessions, a pair of the King's blue suede shoes, was not pinched during the robbery.

The Elvis-A-Rama museum was opened by collector Chris Davidson (who first saw Elvis in Las Vegas in 1975 at age ten) in 1999. The 8,000 square-foot venue, which also hosts performances by a pair of Elvis impersonators, is billed as "the world's largest private collection of original Elvis Presley memorabilia west of Memphis."

Davidson has built the collection over several years, buying pieces at auctions and from Elvis acquaintances. Starting with two checks and a personal letter purchased at an auction by Elvis' Memphis Mafia pal Jimmy Velvet (bought for $8,000), Davidson built up a collection that numbers more than 2,000 pieces. Because of the acquisition of new items, the museum occasionally sells original Elvis memorabilia to the general public.

Элвис Пресли был пусть даже немного евреем. Внешне он совсем не похож на семита. Кстати. он был шатеном, а волосы красил в черный цвет просто для того, чтобы на сцене выглядеть ярче.

Получил первые два CD-rom'а Элвиса от ДК.Слушаю 60-ые годы.Нет,всё таки Элвис и после армии остался самим собой,может пропала рок-н-ролльность,но зато появилось приятная мелодичность,так что есть что послушать :)))

А талант не пропьёшь и не проспишь,он всегда остаётся у Элвиса!!

А признанием таланта была его невероятная популярность. Об этом наверное уже было, но в качестве подтверждения немного статистики, правда английской. Так вот, даже в Англии, где американцев редко допускают в хиты - Элвис до сих пор держит первое место

Reissue of classic material due this summer

A series of summer Elvis Presley reissues will be released this summer, as the King's label, RCA, marks the fiftieth anniversary of rock & roll's move to the mainstream.

Though the King wandered into Sam Phillips Memphis Recording Service in 1953, it was the trio of songs -- "That's All Right," "Blue Moon of Kentucky" and "I Love You Because" -- that Elvis recorded at Phillips' Sun Studios in July 1954 that launched a career of rock royalty. Among the releases slated for reissue is Elvis at Sun, which collects Elvis' recordings from 1954 and 1955 before Phillips sold his contract to RCA for $35,000.

A new compilation, Memphis Celebrates 50 Years of Rock & Roll, also includes "That's All Right," along with other Memphis-recorded hits by the likes of Johnny Cash, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, B.B. King and others.

In the video department, two of Elvis' best-known television appearances will be reissued in deluxe DVD formats. The three-DVD Elvis: The '68 Comeback Special. The concert, which put Presley in front of an audience for the first time in seven years, found a leather-clad Presley tearing through his hits after years of work on middling Hollywood films. The DVD includes all four concerts that were filmed for the special; the first time they have been released in a single set. More than half of the seven hours of material is previously unreleased.

The two-DVD Elvis, Aloha From Hawaii doesn't catch the King in quite the same period of vitality, but when it aired in 1973, more than 1 billion people tuned in worldwide. The DVD includes the original television special and a rehearsal concert. The soundtrack from that special would go on to be Elvis' last Number One album.

Cage-Presley Divorce Done Deal

The union of Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley is officially a hunk of burning history.

On Monday, a year and a half after Cage filed to break up their three-and-a-half-month marriage, the divorce was finalized, according to Cage's publicist, Annett Wolf.

Wolf says the paperwork was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and the resolution was "amicable."

The move comes amid tabloid reports indicating the 40-year-old Cage is ready to marry a 19-year-old former waitress.

Per the settlement, neither will receive any kind of spousal support and each will retain all assets acquired before they swapped vows: He keeps his Oscar, she keeps Graceland, etc. There was no disclosure of how much each is worth, but suffice to say they're both loaded.

Cage filed the divorce petition (under his given name, Nicolas Coppola) way back in November 2002, just months after the couple tied the knot in front of Lisa Marie's mom, Priscilla, and their respective children from previous relationships at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows in Hawaii.

The marriage was Cage's second; Presley's third. Cage previously had gone down the aisle in 1995 with actress Patricia Arquette. Their on-again, off-again union ended for good in May 2001. Presley's previous spouses were musician Danny Keough, the father of her two children, Danielle and Benjamin, and some guy named Michael Jackson. (Coincidentally, the Cage-Presley divorce was finalized almost 10 years to the day after Jackson and Presley wed.)

Cage cited the usual irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the split. At the time he issued a brief statement: "I did not talk about the marriage, and I am not going to talk about the divorce, but I loved her."

Presley, on the other hand, was a bit more forthcoming with her post bust-up remarks. "I'm sad about this, but we shouldn't have been married in the first place. It was a big mistake."

Cage, who famously played a skydiving Elvis impersonator in Honeymoon in Vegas, hooked up with Elvis' only child in the spring of 2001, but by February 2002 announced they had split. They were back together that June for their trip to the altar.

Both have since moved on. Presley, 36, was recently linked to Michael Lockwood, who served as musical director for her recent world tour in support of her debut album, 2003's To Whom It May Concern. Meanwhile, the 40-year-old Cage--whose next big-screen foray is National Treasure (due out in November)--has been making the rounds with 19-year-old Alice Kim, and, if the gossip is to be believed, is ready to make her wife number four.

Elvis The Wine

Elvis Presley is about to become a wine. Fans will soon be able to sip a Blue Suede Chardonnay, A King Cabernet Sauvignon or Jailhouse Red Merlot.

California based Signature Wines is about to release their Graceland Cellars line. "We are very proud of the wines we have created to honor the King of Rock and Roll," said Scott Cahill, CEO of Signature Wines in a statement. "Our wineries have worked hard to put the same care into our wines that Elvis put into his music. We think fans of wine and Elvis will agree."

The 2002 Blue Suede Chardonnay has citrus, pear and floral aromas. It is a light, toasty oak with hints of butter and vanilla.

The 2001 Jailhouse Red Merlot features the aromas of berries and fresh herbs with toasty vanilla flavor.

The 2001 The King Cabernet Sauvignon is made from lush, ripe fruit of black cherry, currant and blackberries.

To mark the 50th anniversary of Elvis Presley recording his seminal, groundbreaking "That’s All Right" single (on July 5, 1954), RCA/BMG Heritage plans three new Elvis releases on June 22 that are significant upgrades of some of his most-loved material. Due that date are Elvis at Sun, a single-CD presentation of his 19 key Sun Records tracks recorded at the start of his career, and greatly expanded DVDs of his ’68 Comeback Special and Aloha from Hawaii, arguably his two most important releases in a live setting. All three projects have been painstakingly remastered, and the DVD sets contain hours of previously unreleased footage.

Elvis at Sun is intended as the definitive overview of Presley’s historic 18 months on the Memphis label. Compared to 1987’s The Complete Sun Sessions or 1999’s two-disc Sunrise, both of which presented sundry alternates and outtakes, the new disc is a straight presentation of Presley’s 19 essential Sun tracks in best-ever sound quality. It should serve as the go-to disc for collectors and mainstream consumers alike who simply want to hear the brilliant first phase of Elvis’s career.

That basic track list ranges from the first single, "That’s All Right" backed with "Blue Moon of Kentucky," through every Sun single including "Good Rockin’ Tonight" and "Mystery Train," to the eight songs that didn’t come out on Sun singles originally such as "Blue Moon" and "When It Rains It Really Pours." Only one song appears twice: the two radically different arrangements of "I’m Left, You’re Right, She’s Gone."

Major new Elvis documentary series planned

A major new documentary series on Elvis Presley, similar to The Beatles' Anthology, is being planned for the 30th anniversary of his death.

The Elvis Presley Estate which runs Elvis' business affairs and includes his widow Priscilla, is presently working on the series which will include never-before-seen footage.

According to the New York Post, the Elvis anthology is due out in 2007 - 30 years after Presley died aged 42 on August 17, 1977.

The Beatles' Anthology initially aired on television in 1995 before being released in DVD format with added footage.

Meanwhile, the estate and BMG this week releases two new DVD sets of two of Elvis' most historic TV appearances in America.
