In the US, Harry Nilsson sponsors a week-long event to promote an "end to handgun violence". It is staged across the country in the form of post mailings, fundraising events and public service announcements, including one by Ringo.

US single release: "The Girl Is Mine"/"Can't Get Out Of The Rain" (Epic 34-03288), by Michael Jackson.
The A-side is a duet with Paul.
1984
In the US, Paul appears on the ABC TV morning program "Good Morning America" to promote his film "Give My Regards To Broad Street" and it's soundtrack album.
At the Gotham Theater in New York, Paul's film "Give My Regards To Broad Street" receives its world premiere.
1985
At the Cuts Gallery in London, an exhibition of Dezo Hoffman's photographs from his book "John Lennon" is shown.
1987
The "Beatle City" exhibition runs at the West End marketplace in Dallas, Texas.
1988
At the Cannon Cinema, Haymarket, and the Warner West cinema in Leicester Square, Lodon, press screenings of the film "Imagine: John Lennon" are held.
1990
US album release:Valotte (Atlantic) on CD, by Julian Lennon.
In the UK, BBC Radio One airs a special to celebrate the upcoming release of the Traveling Wilburys' new album.

In London, part of John's "Bag One" collection is displayed at the gallery Smiths of Covent Garden.
In the US, Paul's concert film "Get Back" opens at the Baronet Theater in New York and screenings are held at Laemmie's Music Hall in Los Angeles.
At the Sutton Place Hotel in Toronto, Canada, Paul and Linda hold a press conference for his concert film "Get Back". Paul also gives interviews to CITY TV's "Movie Television", radio station CHUM-AM.
Paul and Linda attend the Canadian premiere of "Get Back" at the Varsity II cinema in Toronto.
1992
In the US, the Disney Channel airs John and Yoko's 1972 "Imagine" film.
At the pub known as The Crooked Billet, George makes a surprise appearance and performs with Gary Moore in a late-night jam session.
In the UK, Channel 4 screens the Yorkshire Television documentary on James Hanratty, featuring clips from the 1969 film on Hanratty shot by John and Yoko, which was previously screened only once, on February 17, 1972.
