Brian signs his first girl singer, Cilla Black. At his home, 380 Scotland Road, Liverpool, her father is convinced by Brian of the convenience of her changing her artistic surname to "Black".

1965
Brian announces he has signed the Moody Blues to a management and agency contract with NEMS Enterprises.
US release of orchestral Help! LP, by George Martin.
Duke of York's Theatre, London. Paul sees the play "The Killing Of Sister George".
1967

1974
In London, George holds a press conference to announce the launching of his own record label Dark Horse.
1975
On Stage 5 at the Elstree Film Studios in Hertfordshire, Paul and Wings perform a special concert for 1,200 EMI employees, tour associates and 100 members of the Wings fan club. Also present for this event are Ringo, Victor Spinetti, Twiggy, Elton John, Harry Nilsson, Richard Chamberlain, Dave Mason, Long John Baldry and the group Queen.
"Melody Maker" publishes an article on George, entitled "George Bounces Back". The article promotes his latest album Extra Texture (Read All About It).
On BBC Radio One's program "Rockweek", George discusses his new album track by track.
1978
In London, Paul and Linda host the third annual Buddy Holly Week. A midnight screening of "The Buddy Holly Story", starring Gary Busey, is shown at the Odeon Theatre. Keith Moon leaves before the end of the movie to return to the Mayfair flat he was sharing with Harry Nilsson. The next morning he is found dead in his bed. Some articles of clothing belonging to Ringo are found in the flat.
1980
Day Twenty-seven of Double Fantasy sessions: Yoko records vocals for her track "Every Man Has A Woman Who Loves Him".
1983
New York's Museum of Broadcasting showcase Beatles achieve clips documentary "The Beatles Early Days" and several other films from the museum's personal collection, including the "Ed Sullivan Show" appearances and excerpts from their Washington, D.C. concert on February 11, 1964.
Abbey Road's Number Two studio presents "The Beatles At Abbey Road", 3 times a day.
In London, Paul and Linda host their annual Buddy Holly Week extravaganza.
1984
The "Art Of The Beatles" Exhibition, portraying 30 years of the group in the form of cartoons, paintings, photographs, album covers, lithographs and sculptures, continues.
1985
In the Bahamas, the final steps are made to make Michael Jackson the owner of ATV Music, which includes the bulk of Northern Songs.
In the UK, MCA Records re-release the box set of Buddy Holly singles, to coincide with the annual Buddy Holly Week celebration.
1986
"Twist and Shout", 2nd week in the Top 40 (US Billboard).
1987
The "Beatle City" exhibition runs at the West End marketplace in Dallas, Texas.
1988
The Beatles' film "Yellow Submarine", divided into three parts, airs Part Two this evening.
At the NFT (National Film Theatre) in London, a celebration honoring Handmade Films. All of Handmade films are shown from "Monty Python's Meaning Of Life" to the current release, "Track 29".
In the US, NBC TV's program "Today" airs Part One of an interview with Albert Goldman, author of "The Lives Of John Lennon".
1991
In London, the High Court case between EMI and Apple resumes. EMI makes an appeal to release the compilation albums The Beatles 1962-1966 and The Beatles 1967-1970 as a box set, which does not require Apple's approval under the terms of their 1989 agreement. The judge rules in favor of Apple and blocking EMI's attempts to release the box sets.
1992
Ringo and his All-Starr band perform at Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada ("Return To Ameria Tour").
1993
Paul performs in concert at Stadhalle, Vienna, Austria ("The New World Tour").
1994
US album release: Old Wave (The Right Stuff T2-29675).
1995
In London, Klaus Voorman sets up shop at Apple's Ovington Square offices to begin work on the cover for Beatles Anthology.
1997
Photographic exhibition of Linda at the Museum of the City of San Francisco.
1998
The "Sunday Mail" publishes the results of the poll of "The All Time Top 1,000 Albums". The Beatles hold four of the top five positions. Number 1 is Revolver, number 2 is Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, number 3 is The Beatles and at number 5 is Abbey Road. Sitting at number 20 is Rubber Soul.
2009
BBC Four airs the programs "How The Beatles Rocked the Kremlin" and "The Beatles on Record".
2013
The exhibit Linda McCartney retrospective is displayed at the Kunst Haus Wien in Vienna, Austria. The new exhibition is the first comprehensive retrospective of Linda McCartney’s work featuring 190 of her iconic photographs.
