After two weeks away, Ringo rejoined the Beatles. Upon his return to the studio, he found his drum kit covered with flowers to welcome him back.

The name "Wings" comes into Paul's mind.
Ringo forms Ringo Or Robin, Ltd., with furniture designer and friend Robin Cruikshank.
1979
Live from Superdance in the US, Ringo appears as a special guest on the annual fundraising program "The Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon". He joins Bill Wyman, Todd Rundgren, Doug Kershaw and Kiki Dee. They perform an all-star jam on the songs "Money"/"Twist And Shout" and "Jumpin' Jack Flash". Later he helps man the phones taking pledges.
Also appearing on the telethon, the promo video of Paul's "Getting Closer".
George flies to the US to for various Apple business meeting.
1980

1981
In Liverpool, a giant glass fibre statue of John, entitled "Working Class Hero", is put on display. It's creator is sculptor Alan Curran.
1983
Part 14 of "Ringo's Yellow Submarine" series on the ABC Radio Network.
New York's Museum of Broadcasting showcase Beatles achieve clips documentary "The Beatles Early Days" and several other films from the museum's personal collection, including the "Ed Sullivan Show" appearances and excerpts from their Washington, D.C. concert on February 11, 1964.
Abbey Road's Number Two studio presents "The Beatles At Abbey Road", 3 times a day.
1984
The "Art Of The Beatles" Exhibition, portraying 30 years of the group in the form of cartoons, paintings, photographs, album covers, lithographs and sculptures, continues.
1987
The "Beatle City" exhibition runs at the West End marketplace in Dallas, Texas.
1988
At the NFT (National Film Theatre) in London, a celebration honoring Handmade Films. All of Handmade films are shown from "Monty Python's Meaning Of Life" to the current release, "Track 29".
1989
Ringo and his All-Starr Band concert at the Greek Theater, Los Angeles, California ("North American Tour").
Ringo and the All-Starr Band performance of the song "Boys" is transmitted live on the annual "Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon".
1993
Paul performs in concert at The Waldbahne, Berlin, Germany ("The New World Tour").
1995
Ringo and his All-Starr Band's concert at MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada is cancelled.
1997
Photographic exhibition of Linda at the Museum of the City of San Francisco.
1998
Ringo and his Fourth All-Starr Band in concert at Museumshof, Bonn, Germany ("1998 Summer Tour").
At London's Gallert 27, John's erotic lithographs are displayed for the first time in about 30 years.
In the US, Capitol Records holds a press conference to announce that a 4-CD box set entitled John Lennon Anthology will be released worldwide in November.
2013
Rolling Stone magazine compiled a list of the best movie soundtracks of all time. The Beatles came out on top with their album Help!. Also making the list were A Hard Day's Night at number 4 and Magical Mystery Tour at number 19.
The exhibit Linda McCartney retrospective is displayed at the Kunst Haus Wien in Vienna, Austria. The new exhibition is the first comprehensive retrospective of Linda McCartney’s work featuring 190 of her iconic photographs.
