Recording of brasses and woodwinds for "It's All Too Much", and of an instrumental jamming.
1968
The Beatles add overdubs of bass and vocals on "Revolution". After numerous overdubs have been added, the final six minutes of the song evolved into chaotic, jamming, with John repeatedly shouting "alright” and Yoko speaking random phrases. The jam becomes the basis for "Revolution 9".
1969
The Plastic Ono Band record "Give Peace A Chance" during a "bed-in" at the Hotel La Reine in Montreal, Canada.
1970
Abbey Road. Start of recordings of "Isn't It A Pity".
1973
Red Rose Speedway number 1 (US Billboard).
"My Love" number 1, first week (US Billboard).
1975
Venus And Mars is awarded a gold disc by the RIAA.
US single release: "It's All Da Da Down To Goodnight Vienna"/"Goodnight Vienna (reprise)"//"Oo-Wee" (Apple 1882).
UK album release: Young Americans, of David Bowie. Bowie's first number 1 song in the US is from this album, the Bowie/Lennon/Alomar composition "Fame".

George and Olivia, heavily pregnant, take a three-day holiday break in Madrid, Spain.

The "Art Of The Beatles" Exhibition, portraying 30 years of the group in the form of cartoons, paintings, photographs, album covers, lithographs and sculptures, continues.
1987
Marking the 20th anniversary of the US release of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the album is featured on the ABC morning show "Good Morning America".
1988
In Cologne, West Germany, the "Art Of The Beatles" exhibition is showcased during the "Liverpool On The Rhine" festival.
1992
Ringo and his All-Starr Band perform at the Sunrise Pavilion, Ft. Lauderdale, Flordia ("North American Tour").

Paul's concert at County Stadium in Milwaukee, Wisconsin ("New World Tour").

Paul visits Abbey Road Studios and spends time overdubbing the tapes he and Steve Miller recorded.

In the US, approximately 12,000 schools across the country tune in to a special radio broadcast celebrating the 30th anniversary of the US release of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Paul's art exhibition at the Kunstforum Lyz in Hamburg with 75 of his 500 private paintings.
George and Olivia attend a private party, at Christie's auction house, to celebrate to imminent sale of 100 guitars belonging to Eric Clapton. Also attending the party is Patti Boyd, former wife of both George and Eric.
2002
It was reported that Paul McCartney had thrown his fiancйe Heather Mills’ engagement ring out of a hotel window during a row. Guards at Miami’s Turnberry Isle Resort combed the grounds using metal detectors and later found the Ј15,000 ring.
2007
"The Beatles! Backstage and Behind-the-Scenes Photo Exhibit" at The Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey, Michigan.
2010
Paul is awarded the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, America's highest award for popular music, by President Obama at a ceremony in the East Room of the White House. Stevie Wonder, Faith Hill, Elvis Costello, Emmylou Harris, and others play McCartney hits. McCartney plays "Ebony And Ivory" with Wonder, "Eleanor Rigby," "Let It Be," "Hey Jude," and "Michelle."
