Premiere of the "Liverpool Oratorio", with the Liverpool Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, at the Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral. McCartney co-writes the 90-minute work with American-born composer Carl Davis to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Liverpool's Royal Philharmonic.

In London, at the annual Silver Cleff awards lunch, a six-string Rickenbacker 325 V 63 vibrator guitar is auctioned. Paul, George and Ringo signed their names on it in silver ink.

In the US, VH-1 "Storytellers" airs Ringo's edition recorded at the Bottom Line Club in New York.

A copy of Wings’ 1972 single "Hi, Hi, Hi"/"C Moon" signed by both Paul and Linda sold for $1,205 on eBay. The late Linda added “Happy New Year” to her inscription.
The exhibit Linda McCartney retrospective is displayed at the Kunst Haus Wien in Vienna, Austria. The new exhibition is the first comprehensive retrospective of Linda McCartney’s work featuring 190 of her iconic photographs.
