1969
News on both sides of the Atlantic began running stories that Paul McCartney was dead. He was supposedly killed in a car accident in Scotland on November 9th, 1966 and that a double had been taking his place for public appearances. In fact, Paul and Jane Asher were on vacation in Kenya at the time.
1974
In Los Angeles, Ringo announces that he will spend the next 12 months campaigning against drugs used by young people.
1975
Wings perform in concert at the Hammersmith Odeon ("Wings World Tour").
From his home in Los Angeles, George is interviewed by DJ Dave Herman, to promote his newest album Extra Texture (Read All About It).
1976
Sid Bernstein, promoter for the New York Beatles concerts, takes out a full-page ad in the "New York Herald Tribune" to have the Beatles reunite for a charity concert.
UK album release: Ringo's Rotogravure (Polydor 2302 040).
1980
Advanced text of John's "Newsweek" article reaches the news wires. "Playboy" is not thrilled with this event and John agrees to give a detailed look into the Beatles' song catalogue.

1982
In the US, Westwood One broadcasts the tribute program "John Lennon: Rock And Roll Never Forgets".
1983
Part 16 of "Ringo's Yellow Submarine" series on the ABC Radio Network.
New York's Museum of Broadcasting showcase Beatles achieve clips documentary "The Beatles Early Days" and several other films from the museum's personal collection, including the "Ed Sullivan Show" appearances and excerpts from their Washington, D.C. concert on February 11, 1964.
1984
The "Art Of The Beatles" Exhibition, portraying 30 years of the group in the form of cartoons, paintings, photographs, album covers, lithographs and sculptures, continues.
In the UK, Part Two of the American TV film "Princess Daisy" airs across the ITV network.
1987
The "Beatle City" exhibition runs at the West End marketplace in Dallas, Texas.
1988
At the NFT (National Film Theatre) in London, a celebration honoring Handmade Films. All of Handmade films are shown from "Monty Python's Meaning Of Life" to the current release, "Track 29".
Yoko appears on the chat show "Aspel & Company" to promote "Imagine: John Lennon" (recorded September 15, 1988).
In the US, the program "West 57" airs a feature on Albert Goldman's book "The Lives Of John Lennon".
1991
Paul and Linda arrive in Hamburg to prepare for the world premiere of the live concert film "Get Back".
1999
The remastered version of the Beatles' 1964 film "A Hard Day's Night" is simultaneously released in the UK and select theaters in New York and Los Angeles.
