New York's Museum of Broadcasting showcase Beatles achieve clips documentary "The Beatles Early Days" and several other films from the museum's personal collection, including the "Ed Sullivan Show" appearances and excerpts from their Washington, D.C. concert on February 11, 1964.

1984
The "Art Of The Beatles" Exhibition, portraying 30 years of the group in the form of cartoons, paintings, photographs, album covers, lithographs and sculptures, continues.

In the UK, Part One of the American TV film "Princess Daisy" premieres across the ITV network.

The "Beatle City" exhibition runs at the West End marketplace in Dallas, Texas.

At the NFT (National Film Theatre) in London, a celebration honoring Handmade Films. All of Handmade films are shown from "Monty Python's Meaning Of Life" to the current release, "Track 29".

Yoko and Sean appear on the morning breakfast show TV AM to promote the "Imagine" exhibition and film.

1991
In London, Paul gives a live interview about his "Oratorio" shows on the BBC Radio Four program "Kaleidoscope".

In the US, a pre-recorded interview with Fred Seaman is featured on the show "Entertainment Tonight".

1997
In the UK, Channel 4 broadcasts the tribute program "Dandy In The Underworld", on the 20th anniversary of the death of Marc Bolan. Clips from the Apple film "Born To Boogie" are featured.

1998
At the Hard Rock Cafe in London, a special Sotheby's auction is held. Paul's notebook featuring his original draft lyrics for "Hey Jude" is sold for £115,000. A two-tone denim jacket belonging to John went for £9,200.

While John and Cynthia Lennon were holidaying in Paris, and Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr flew to Greece with their partners, George Harrison and his brother Peter visited their sister Louise Harrison Caldwell in Benton, Illinois.

Although The Beatles would conquer America in February 1964, with this trip Harrison became the first of the group to travel to the US.


I'd been to America before, being the experienced Beatle that I was. I went to New York and St Louis in 1963, to look around, and to the countryside in Illinois, where my sister was living at the time. I went to record stores. I bought Booker T and the MGs' first album, Green Onions, and I bought some Bobby Bland, all kind of things.
