A man surfing the Internet in America foiled three men who broke into a Liverpool shop in Liverpool, England. The man who had logged onto a site streaming live footage of Mathew Street and a forthcoming Beatles festival saw the men smashing a window of a shop and climb inside. He phoned Merseyside police who arrested the men.

At the annual Sotheby's auction in London, Paul's original handwritten letter to "Melody Maker" in 1970 sells for £10,000. An audio tape of the Beatles playing at the Cavern in July 1961 sells for £2,100. The man that booght both items was none other than Paul himself.

In New York, the world premiere of the Handmade Films production of "Shanghai Surprise".

A Beatles' home movie of the band's 1965 U.S. tour was auctioned off for $40,000 in London.

In Hamburg, the identity of John's so-called illegitimate daughter is revealed. Kristina Hagel tells a "News Of The World" reporter that she was conceived as the result of a one-night-stand between John and her mother, Marion, in a Alpine hotel room 33 years ago. "News Of The World" investigators obtain another copy of the birth certificate of Kristina from the same register in Hamburg. This certificate mentions nowhere on it that John is her father, naming instead "worker Karl August Egon Hagel".

1999
In Liverpool, Cavern City Tours holds their annual Beatles Week.

In the US, Orlando, Florida hosts its first ever Beatlefest at the Caribe Royale Resort Suites Hotel.

4 сентября - это просто дата конца недели, или так называемая "week-ending date", которая в Billboard Hot 100 всегда приходится на субботу и является "официальной" датой чарта.

John and Yoko leave from Heathrow Airport for America and take up residence at the St. Regis Hotel in New York. They are in the process of regaining custody of Yoko's daughter, Kyoko. Little did they know at that time that John would never return to England again.

"Rolling Stone" publishes an interview with Paul, taken backstage at the July 9th concert at the Théâtre Antique in France.

"Live And Let Die" receives a gold disc by the RIAA.

John declares before the Federal Court that Nixon's government tried to deport him for having been one of the organizers of the anti-war march during the republican convention in Miami, 1972.

1976
George Harrison is found guilty of "subconscious plagiarism" of the Ronnie Mack song "He's So Fine" when writing "My Sweet Lord". Earnings from the song were awarded to Mack's estate. The Chiffons then recorded their own version of "My Sweet Lord".
