A man surfing the Internet in America foiled three men who broke into a Liverpool shop in Liverpool, England. The man who had logged onto a site streaming live footage of Mathew Street and a forthcoming Beatles festival saw the men smashing a window of a shop and climb inside. He phoned Merseyside police who arrested the men.

The "Art Of The Beatles" Exhibition, portraying 30 years of the group in the form of cartoons, paintings, photographs, album covers, lithographs and sculptures, continues.

In London, Sotheby's auction sells for £4,200 "The Beatles" Ludwig bass drum skin. Two of John's harmonicas go for £950 and £850. John's 1960 hand drawn unpublished 16-page manuscript called "A Treasury Of Art And Poetry" sells for £16,000.

Press conference for their concerts at the Cow Palace, San Francisco, California. Last concert of the 1965 US tour. As the Beatles leave the Cow Palace, a crowd of fans climbs on top of their limousine, crushing it.

It is announced that the Beatles will take the administration of their own business interests.

1968

The Beatles and their wives attend a Bob Dylan concert at the Isle Of Wight Pop Festival.

1971
John and Yoko leave from Heathrow Airport for America and take up residence at the St. Regis Hotel in New York. They are in the process of regaining custody of Yoko's daughter, Kyoko. Little did they know at that time that John would never return to England again.

1972
"Rolling Stone" publishes an interview with Paul, taken backstage at the July 9th concert at the Théâtre Antique in France.

1973

"Live And Let Die" receives a gold disc by the RIAA.

1974
John declares before the Federal Court that Nixon's government tried to deport him for having been one of the organizers of the anti-war march during the republican convention in Miami, 1972.

1976
George Harrison is found guilty of "subconscious plagiarism" of the Ronnie Mack song "He's So Fine" when writing "My Sweet Lord". Earnings from the song were awarded to Mack's estate. The Chiffons then recorded their own version of "My Sweet Lord".

1983

During his stay at the Hotel Okura in Tokyo, John inadvertently gives his last public performance. A couple of Japanese strangers mistakenly enter his suite and think that the man strummina guitar in the corner, John, is paid by the hotel to entertain guest. Waiting politely and listening to John singing "Jealous Guy", they realize that no waiter is coming to take their order and leave.

1980
Day Twenty-two of Double Fantasy sessions: Recording Yoko's "(Yes) I'm Your Angel" and John's "Grow Old With Me".

Reports state that the BBC and EMI Records are negotiating a deal for a worldwide release if the Beatles' BBC studio recordings.
