Are Paul and Heather trying to Macca baby?
IS PAUL McCARTNEY about to make his greatest comeback yet at the age of 59 – as a dad?

I suspect Paul and his fiancйe HEATHER MILLS are planning on becoming the Fab Three sooner than anyone could have expected.

Ex-model Heather, who lost a leg when she was hit by a motorcycle in 1993, was spotted in Boots buying Pregnacare and a bottle of folic acid tablets.

For the uninitiated, Pregnacare is a multivitamin and mineral dietary supplement specifically developed for women who are trying to conceive and during pregnancy.

Folic acid is used for reducing the risk of the baby being born with spina bifida.

A fellow shopper at the branch in St John’s Wood, London, told me: “She came in as bold as brass and asked for them from behind the counter.

Heather ... baby plans?

“I was quite surprised when I saw her because it is quite a private thing to be buying in so public a place. If they are planning a baby then the best of luck to them.”

Paul and Heather got engaged last July and are planning to marry in the spring.

And he hinted recently he hasn’t ruled out becoming a dad again. Last October when asked about the prospect of having another child, he said: “I don’t know, I really don’t know. So that in itself is a bit of an admission.”

Heather, 34, has also admitted there is nothing she would enjoy more than starting a family.

But the former model has been told she has to take extra care as she has suffered two ectopic pregnancies in the past.

Macca certainly has plenty of experience as a dad.

He has his own children Mary, 32, Stella, 30, and James, 24, as well as stepdaughter Heather, 38, from his late wife Linda’s previous marriage.

Last night Heather admitted buying the folic acid and Pregnacare but claimed they were for a friend.

The Sunday Mail is reporting today that Sir Paul is telling his closest friends that he will definitely be marrying Heather Mills in March. The couple plans to wed before the start of the U.S. concert tour which is scheduled to begin in April. A close McCartney friend is quoted as saying, "It's definitely March and everyone is geared up for it. All the reports so far have been way off the mark. They did talk about doing something much more showy but Paul's not into all the fuss. We've been told it's going to be something much more down-to-earth, no multi- million pound deals from glossy magazines, although they have been offered. It's more likely to be a small church do or even a register office. Paul wants the family there, that's the important thing for him."

McCartney family feud heats up

Just how bad is the rift between Paul McCartney’s children and his new wife, Heather Mills? The former model has insisted she’s close to the children of the former Beatle — and has even claimed that his designing daughter, Stella McCartney, issued a press release confirming their friendship, which Stella’s office has denied.

NOW, A SOURCE tells The Scoop that the children are complaining that Mills is keeping them away not only from their father, but his late wife as well.

“It’s true that Paul didn’t make Heather sign a pre-nup — bizarre, but true,” says the source. “When Linda McCartney died, she left everything to Paul, and now when Paul dies, everything is going to Heather. Some of the children have asked Paul for something to remember Linda by — we’re not talking about anything expensive here, things with entirely sentimental value — and they’ve been stonewalled.”

The source says they’re trying to get any belongings now because they might not have the opportunity to get them later, once Paul is no longer around. “The kids are heartbroken,” says the source. “They feel she’s getting in between them and they don’t have access to him anymore.” McCartney’s spokesman had no comment.

2 DECEMBER 2002
Newlywed Heather Mills says her husband Paul McCartney has saved her from an addiction – chocolate. The former model recently revealed that she's completely dropped refined sugar on the advice of her husband and now boasts a picture perfect complexion as a result.

"The issue came up over my skin," she says. "I'd always been prone to spots. Paul suggested it could have something to do with my addiction to Snickers bars."

However, a chocolate-free diet wasn't an immediate sell for the self-confessed "chocoholic". "Of course, like all chocoholic women, I wasn't having any of it," she admits. But her persuasive hubby made a proposal that she couldn't refuse. "Paul said: 'Why don't you just try giving up for a week?'. Good psychology, eh? I thought I could just about manage that. And, of course, he was right."

She eventually nixed refined sugar from her meals, and now, having "changed the habit of a lifetime", the anti-landmine advocate says giving up her sweet tooth was worth the effort. "It really thrills me when anyone says to me: 'You've got such lovely skin'," she says. "If only they knew how it used to be."

Paul to Heather-Haters: 'Get Over It!'
November 14, 2002
With an all-new concert special on the way, PAUL McCARTNEY sat down with TV Guide to talk about HEATHER MILLS, being a vegetarian -- and why he no longer smokes pot! Tonight on ET, get an inside look at this incredible interview.

"I don't get stoned," reveals Paul. "I used to smoke a lot. But it doesn't seem necessary anymore. I have no problem with people doing it."

Fresh from his sold-out "Back in the U.S." tour, Paul's TV special airs Wednesday, November 27 on ABC. The show provides a front-row seat and a backstage pass with Paul and features such star-struck fans as TOM CRUISE, JACK NICHOLSON and BILL CLINTON. The concert includes songs from his 2001 album, Driving Rain, plus tunes from his days with WINGS and, of course, plenty of BEATLES hits.

In the interview, Paul also talks about the flak Heather's taken in the press for marrying a rock icon: "[My former wife] LINDA got rubbished in the first year or so. And then she was established and people got over it. It's a bit par for the course. But you know, get over it!"

He goes on to rave about her skills as a cook: "My favorite thing is coming home from work, and she's there, and she's got a great meal on. And the smell! And she looks great. Life is not bad at all." A staunch vegetarian for 25 years, Paul provides only a strict veggie diet for his crew. "I'm not paying for meat. They all get an allowance. I say, 'You want meat? Pop out to McDonald's.' But nobody does. They eat here because it's free and it's from the best restaurant in town."

Spa Secrets

From Jennifer Love Hewitt to Jennifer Lopez, only "Extra" has the stars’ spa secrets for pampering and privacy.

Paul McCartney and Heather Mills travel halfway around the world to India for Rajvilas Resort's Secret Spa technique called Shiridara. It's the ancient art of pouring hot oil directly onto the forehead and it's supposed to open up creativity in the brain. Bill Clinton and Jessica Lange also relax at this secret Indian hideaway, touted as one of the most luxurious spas in the world.

You don't have to cross the globe to get special pampering. Day spas are the fastest growing segment of the spa industry.

Jennifer Lopez slips away for Thai massages in the VIP suites at Miami’s Mandarin Oriental hotel. Spa director Ronel Corbin says the sexy singer likes the rocking and stretching techniques, and gentle pressure on various points and meridians along the body.

Penelope Cruz also sneaks to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel for facials while Christy Burlington goes for a Balinese synchronized dual massage.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Salma Hayek get fluffed and buffed at the Park Hyatt's Stillwater spa in Toronto. Both enjoy the honey body glow Vichy treatment, which is a blend of orange juice, honey, and sea salt.

In Palm Beach, Florida, Celine Dion hits the salon at the PGA National Resort and Spa for fancy manicures and reflexology pedicures, which include massage and mud for a fantastic foot treatment. http://extratv.warnerbros.com/dailynews/extra/11_02/11_04b.html

Heather Mills is 26 years younger than her husband Paul McCartney , but she's trying to make herself look even younger, The ENQUIRER has learned.

The former model, 34, who married 60-year-old McCartney in a lavish million-dollar wedding last June, is undergoing dermaplaning treatments at a Manhattan plastic surgeon's office, sources told The ENQUIRER.

"Heather has feared aging since she was a teenager," an insider revealed. "She wants to impress Paul and make sure he keeps his eyes on her even across a room packed with gorgeous young women.

"Heather feels she's in competition with Paul's fashion designer daughter Stella. She's three years older than Stella and wants to look younger and more glamorous."

The former model's treatments began in September and could take anywhere from a few months to a year to accomplish. They're relatively painless and produce a radiant, blemish-free complexion.

"Heather started treatments with a licensed aesthetician who helped popularize the procedure among celebrities in Beverly Hills ," a source told The ENQUIRER.

"In dermaplaning, the top layers of skin are scraped off with a Teflon-coated blade.

"The process removes dead skin, lessens surface irregularities and stimulates the growth of collagen.

"The skin looks younger immediately but it requires at least four sessions to show lasting results."

This isn't the first time Heather has resorted to cosmetic surgery. She underwent breast reduction in 1991, and her former husband Alfie Karmal once described her as "completely bonkers" about plastic surgery.

"Meanwhile, Linda McCartney -- who was married to Paul for 30 years -- aged gracefully and wore the years of her life on her face with exceptional self-confidence," said the insider.

"These women are as different as night and day."

Dr. Scot Glasberg, a top New York City plastic surgeon who is not treating Heather, told The ENQUIRER the results of dermaplaning can be very dramatic.

"Skin looks healthier," Dr. Glasberg told The ENQUIRER.

"It feels better and wrinkles and areas of damage are reduced.

"It's basically a rejuvenation of the skin."

LONDON (Reuters) - The wife of former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney says she is totally "wiped out" by the negative press she has received since the start of their relationship.
Heather Mills, a charity fundraiser and former model, told BBC presenter Michael Parkinson that her life had hit its lowest ebb when the media "turned on her" following the start of their relationship.

In a television interview to be broadcast on Saturday, Mills, talking for the first time since the couple's lavish wedding in Ireland in June, said: "It's all just 'She's the bird of Paul McCartney' and it's just knock, knock, knock."

"He is a fantastic, fantastic man, but the stuff that comes with it is very hard to deal with."

Mills, who lost her left leg below the knee in a motorcycle accident in 1993, talked frankly about the hardships she has dealt with in her life.

"My mother left and my father abused me, then my father went to prison and I think you just slowly get chip, chipped away. In the end you're put down for constantly overcoming that and they come for you more and more."

"Now I'm at the stage where I feel absolutely wiped out."

The romance between McCartney and Mills blossomed after they met at a charity event four years ago.

Mills has campaigned for 10 years to rid the world of land mines, and has her own charity, the Heather Mills Trust, which provides artificial limbs for mine victims.

"I think the reason I get so affected now is...you feel powerless, everything I've worked for in my life, tried to do and overcome, it's just all been forgotten," she said.

McCartney, who received a knighthood in 1996, has spoken of how his relationship with Mills helped him overcome the pain of losing his wife, Linda, who died in April 1998 from breast cancer. They had been married for more than 30 years.

Mills denied press reports of a feud between herself and McCartney's children Mary, James and fashion designer Stella.

"There's always problems between stepmothers -- think of Cinderella, there's the wicked stepmother...it's just very easy to make up," she said. "I don't think the public are that stupid to believe everything they read."

And she also dismissed speculation about a pregnancy.

"They said I'd been pregnant, which is really hurtful knowing that I've had cancer of the uterus and two ectopic pregnancies," she said.http://reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=entertainmentNews&storyID=2269283

Michael opens the interview by asking Heather if she's wearing one of Stella McCartney's creations.
Heather answers: "It's not tonight, but it is a lot of the time, but it's not tonight."
Michael continues this line of questioning when he asks what the truth is about her alleged falling-out with Paul's children?
Heather responds: "That's why I'm always wearing her clothes Michael, because we don't get on of course... That's why she was at the wedding and we do charity together."
Michael then asks why she thinks the press lie about her relationship with the family.
Heather says: "I think because it's easy. If I was an editor and I had somebody who wouldn't talk to the press, it's easy to make up: well there's a 30-year marriage there, how's she going to live up to the legend of Linda, there's kids.
"There's always problems between stepmothers - think of Cinderella, there's the wicked stepmother… it's just very easy to make up.
"And you just can't take the bait. I don't think the public are that stupid to believe everything they read."
She continues: "To get it straight, for eight years the media were fantastic with me because I was the model that overcame adversity and supposedly inspired other disabled people and amputees - poor girl's had a rough life, loses her leg and now she's got to crawl to the loo at night.
"But then I went quiet. So understandably after being very open - I wrote a book which the money went to charity nine years ago and then I updated it recently and there wasn't any support this time even though the money goes to charity because I wouldn't do any interviews."
Michael asks Heather if she didn't do interviews because of her relationship with Paul.
She responds: "I want to protect Paul and his children and their privacy, because they're very private.
"We agreed because someone was going to do an unauthorised biography that I would update the book and call it A Single Step and put the money to charity, but only in America so I didn't have to promote it here because it's only in Britain where it's pretty hard."
Michael then asks her about the stories that she has been pregnant.
Heather replies: "They said I'd been pregnant, which is really hurtful knowing that I've had cancer of the uterus and two ectopic pregnancies.
"The chances of me getting pregnant are about that much [indicates small with thumb and finger], and I'm sure for any woman out there it's hard enough when your family keeps saying 'when are you going to have a baby then?' Never mind the whole world keeps saying 'oh she's pregnant this week'."
Earlier, Michael asked whether Paul's former wife, Linda, has cast a long shadow for her.
Heather says: "No not at all. For me, what people don't realise, is that I have a huge amount of respect for that marriage. She did a great job on him - she trained him up well.
"And I believe when you've loved, like he's loved, it's much easier to fall in love because you haven't got so many barriers. So no, absolute respect for that."
Michael then says that Linda went through a tough time with the press when she first started her relationship with Paul.
Heather agrees: "[She went through] much worse. I didn't realise that because I was never a Beatles fan.
"And I fell in love with him after he had chased me for a while and he was very charming and wooing.
"He is a fantastic, fantastic man, but the stuff that comes with it is very hard to deal with.
"Nobody would have sympathy with it because everyone's dream person to be with is either Paul or George Clooney."
She then jokes: "I mean George is cute, but nothing on Paul."
Heather also describes how the bad publicity has directly affected her charity work for amputees with companies refusing to sponsor her.
She says: "I'd been trying to make these limbs that I'm always flashing off available to all amputees with the cosmetic covers.
"And the manufacturers actually said to the prosthesist 'we can't manufacture them with Heather Mills because she gets such bad press'.
"So it's not just attacking me, it's literally depriving millions of people because they don't want that association as they'd rather go with someone else. And there's many charities to choose from so they don't want that association.
"And then I sue and I win, but I get that much of an apology because they make up things about the charity.
"They made up things, saying I'm doing a vegetarian cookery book. As if I'm going to do that? I like cooking but I'm not doing a vegetarian cookery book."
Michael then asks Heather if she's ever felt that she's been dealt a bad hand.
Heather says: "I never [felt] it until recently, I have to be honest. I think the reason I get so affected now, if anyone throws anything physical on me, like if you paralysed me from the neck down, I would just get a pen and tap it on the computer and get on with it.
"So I suppose losing my leg and all those kind of things, I just dealt with. Got to do this now, got to do that now.
"But when you feel powerless - everything I've worked for in my life, tried to do and overcome, it's just all been forgotten.
"It's all just, 'she's the bird of Paul McCartney' and it's just knock, knock, knock. And that's affected me really badly."
When Michael asks her what her lowest point has been, Heather answers: "The lowest point of my life has been since the press turned on me really badly which sounds crazy.
"But I think what it is that you start off as a whole being and then things chip away.
"Yes my mother left and my father abused me, then my father went to prison and I think you just slowly get chip, chipped away and you've got so much strength and in the end when you're put down for constantly overcoming that and they come for you more and more and more.
"Now I'm at that stage where I feel [sighs] absolutely wiped out."
Heather then goes on to tell Michael that her anti-landmine work and helping fellow amputees and disabled people has kept her strong.
She says: "That's what keeps me going. When I get to go and see them, or when I go to Vietnam or Cambodia or somewhere like that, that's really rewarding.
"When I get out of England, that's when I go [sigh] 'why did I even let that affect me? It so doesn't matter'."

McCartney 'infuriated' by documentary on wife
Paul McCartney has instructed his lawyers to look into a British documentary due to be broadcast last night (AEST) that depicts his wife Heather Mills as "a calculating gold-digger with a murky past", the Daily Mail has reported.

Printing a discreet picture of Mills from her days as a glamour model alongside one taken at her 1989 wedding to Alfie Karmal, the newspaper said the Channel 4 documentary portrayed Mills as "a lying fantasist who had long planned to ensnare a rich husband".

The paper said Sir Paul, 60, currently on tour in Europe, had declined to comment, but it understood he had instructed lawyers to speak to Channel 4, an independent broadcaster, and that he was "infuriated".

Yesterday, the Sun tabloid newspaper printed pictures it said depicted Mills, aged 18, baring her breasts at her first glamour modelling assignment.

The pictures, to be shown in the documentary, were apparently taken by Karmal.

In the film, Karmal says he was puzzled by his wife's frequent disappearances and at how she had once turned up in a new sports car.

Ros Ashley, described by the Mail as a "former pleasure wife" for rich Arabs, says in the documentary that she introduced Mills, then aged 18, to a number of wealthy Lebanese businessmen.

"Heather's ambition was to meet a wealthy man - whether Arab, English, Spanish, whatever would give her wealth and status," Ashley says.

Karmal's sister, Donna says: "She's very destructive. She's like a praying mantis when it comes to men."

And Mills stepfather Charles Stapley says Mills lives in "a confused fantasy world", suggesting her claims to have slept rough in London were exaggerated.

Channel 4's Matthew Robinson today said the company had held talks with Mills' lawyers throughout preparations for the film.

He would not comment on whether any legal action was pending, but insisted the broadcast would go ahead tonight.

Since losing a leg in an accident involving a police motorcycle in London in 1993, Mills has worked in charity, raising money for landmine victims.

She met former Beatle McCartney through her work.

They married in Ireland in June last year.

His first wife Linda died of cancer in 1998.

After initial difficulties, Mills' relations with McCartney's children by his first marriage are said to have improved.

DAD-TO-BE Paul McCartney shares a romantic beach break with pregnant wife Heather — as she gives the world a first glimpse of her rapidly-swelling tummy.

The 60-year-old former Beatle watched lovingly as his missus sipped from a bottle of water between relaxing dips in the glistening Mediterranean off Cap Ferrat on the French Riviera.

The lovestruck pair swam contentedly in the surf before finally emerging to dry off together on the baking sand.

At one point, pop legend Sir Paul tenderly wrapped a striped towel around ex-model Heather before planting a kiss on her lips.

Heather, 35, responded by entwining her arms around his waist and passionately kissing him back.

The heart-warming display came at the end of Macca’s world tour — and just ten days after the couple confirmed they are expecting their first child later this year.

It also followed almost exactly a year after the pair were married at Castle Leslie in Glaslough, Co Monaghan, Ireland, last June.

Heather and Macca — who had three children with first wife Linda, who died in 1998 — slipped away to the South of France to stay at the £2,500-a-night Grand Hotel in Cap Ferrat, a famed showbiz hotspot.

Yesterday, they walked on to a public beach used by dog-walkers and joggers and jumped from rocks into the clear blue waters of the Med.

One local said: “It was very romantic — just the two of them.

“They had no bodyguards and spent time cooling off in the water.

“Heather seemed very relaxed and dived in wearing goggles.

“They then clambered out of the water via a ladder which had been lowered into the sea.

“Before returning to the hotel they dried off with matching hotel towels and then kissed by the water’s edge.”

It looked like the perfect way to celebrate glad tide-ings.

Sam Lister, Daily Post

THE father of Heather Mills has consulted lawyers in a bid to gain access to his future grandchild.

Mark Mills found out his daughter was expecting a baby with husband Sir Paul McCartney after it was revealed in the media last month.

He fears a five-year rift between them means he will be shut out of his grandchild's life and he is now trying to secure access through the courts.

Mr Mills, a former physics lecturer, is on invalidity benefit and could be eligible for public funds to fight his case.

"To be able to see, hold and play with a grandchild would mean so much to me," he said.

"It will be my first grandchild, as none of Heather's two sisters or brother has children.

"And it will be very special to me because I became an orphan the year after I was born, when my mother died.

"I am obviously very pleased for Heather and Paul. I intend to visit the child, but they may try to deny me access. If I am denied access I will go to court.

"I am determined to succeed. There is no excuse for me not to be allowed to see my grandchild.

"My solicitor advised me that I have a good case and I will go the whole way."

Heather Mills-McCartney has had a turbulent relationship with her father.

She accused him of beating her mother, Beatrice, claims which he strongly denies.

And she failed to acknowledge his wedding present to the couple when they were married last June.

Mr Mills, who lives in Washington, Tyne and Wear, also believes his one-year spell in prison for insurance fraud two decades ago has added to their problems.

He is now on invalidity benefit after suffering a series of strokes which have left him with speech problems and bouts of forgetfulness.

He added: "I expect it's because of my jail sentence that she didn't want me in the picture. But she has made up things about me which aren't true.

"It's a lie to say I beat her mother. Beatrice and I were married for 20 years and I loved her very much. She was a very good woman.

"I hope they will let me see the baby without having to take action. I just want to have a place in the child's life and buy little Christmas and birthday presents. Nothing more than that.

"I don't get a penny from Heather and I don't want any money off her. I just want to be included in the family, that's all."

The couple's baby is due in October.

Any legal action would be dealt with through the county court.

A spokeswoman for Heather Mills refused to comment last night

Mills McCartney set to become a trademark

Julia Day
Thursday September 4, 2003

Heather Mills McCartney, the wife of former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney, is to cash in on her famous name in America by turning it in to a trademark.

The 35-year-old former model turned anti-landmine campaigner has applied to register her married name as a trademark in the US to help promote a range of artificial limbs.

But she will also be free to launch a huge range of cosmetic, toiletry and medical goods - from moisturiser and perfume to shampoo and condoms, as well as artificial limbs - if she is granted the mark.

Two trademark applications were filed with the US patent and trademark office on July 14, one filed under her married name and one under her maiden name.

The trademarks will give Mrs Mills McCartney rights over the Heather Mills McCartney Cosmesis range made by a British company, Dorset Orthopedic. The cosmeses are artificial limbs with covers that fit over existing prosthetics which come in 25 flesh tones.

Mrs Mills McCartney has campaigned for natural-looking false limbs to be made widely available and famously removed her own skin-coloured limb on US TV to show how realistic they can look.

The availability of flesh-toned prosthetic limbs was this week at the centre of a storm when it was revealed an NHS hospital refused to fit a black-coloured limb for a black woman who was told only white ones existed.

A spokeswoman for Mrs Mills McCartney said the campaigner had no plans to launch cosmetics or anything else apart from the artificial limbs and their cosmetic covers, but that she was advised to register the trademark after the decision to market the range in America.

"But she already has the deal set up with Dorset Orthopedic and recently it was decided to offer the limbs to people who are unable to travel to Dorset to have them fitted," said the spokeswoman.

She added that Mrs Mills McCartney does not make any money from the range and Dorset Orthopedic makes a charitable donation from sales.

The spokeswoman also said Mrs Mills McCartney hoped that the recent bad publicity that had hampered her charitable work had come to an end.

"There was a period she found absolutely devastating, not personally but it damaged her charity work, when people were loth to be associated with her."

In an interview with Michael Parkinson on BBC1 earlier this year, she said bad publicity - centred on her allegedly stormy relationship with Sir Paul's children, particularly fashion designer Stella - hampered plans to launch artificial limbs in the UK.

She said: "I'd been trying to make these limbs that I'm always flashing off available to all amputees with the cosmetic covers. The manufacturers actually said, 'we can't make them with Heather Mills because she gets such bad press'."

She has not applied to the UK patent office to register her name as a trademark, and the decision to promote the range in America rather than her home country may reflect the problems over publicity.

Mrs Mills McCartney, who lost a leg in a road accident in 1993, removed her prosthetic limb on Larry King's US chat show in November 2002.

She told King: "I'm going to try and make them [the artificial limbs] available in America because they look completely real. And that's what gave me the confidence. If you wear short skirts you get your femininity back."
