Певица Эми Вайнхауз планирует сменить место жительства, сообщает британский таблоид The Sun. Исполнительница собирается переехать, так как с принадлежащим ей в настоящее время домом связаны "болезненные воспоминания".

В частности, именно в доме в районе Кэмден, расположенном на севере Лондона, у Эми летом 2007 года случилась передозировка наркотиками. Кроме того, певица проживала по этому адресу вместе с супругом Блэйком Филдер-Сивилом, который в настоящее время находится под арестом.

Вайнхауз намеревается приобрести жилье в восточной части Лондона. В настоящее время она проживает у друга и все реже появляется в Кэмдене.

Winehouse likely top Grammy hopeful

Though Amy Winehouse has endured a string of personal setbacks in recent months, the Grammy nominations in New York should put the focus back on her music.

At first, the singer was heralded as a gifted new artist with an amazing album. Now she is known for erratic behaviour and alleged substance abuse.

Industry insiders expect the singer-songwriter to be among the top Grammy nominees when the Recording Academy announces its contenders in Los Angeles.

"Amy Winehouse is incredible. I think she should have got a little more positive recognition," said singer-songwriter Ne-Yo. Grammy-winning producer John Shanks called Winehouse's album Back to Black, which included the telling hit Rehab, "an important record".

"I don't think her troubles are really going to hurt her. I think the sound of that album made an impact," Mr Shanks added.

Another likely multiple nominee is Kanye West, thanks to his third album, Graduation.

The critically acclaimed disc had the year's biggest debut, selling nearly 1 million copies in its first week, an amazing feat during the industry's current struggles. The CD has already generated three hits, including the anthems Stronger and Good Life.

While West has won several Grammys in his relatively short career, they have all come in the rap categories, despite being nominated twice for album of the year. That may change if he is nominated for best album, record or song of the year.

But he may face tough competition from some legendary veterans. Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen each released acclaimed albums this year: McCartney's Memory Almost Full was full of cheerful nostalgia while Springsteen's Magic marked his return to full-fledged rock.

"I do think Bruce's album is excellent," said Mr Shanks. "I think we live in a time of a collection of singles ... Someone like Springsteen is actually setting out to write an album and there's continuity."

According to onlookers, the singer looked “disoriented, upset, and agitated” as she wandered around in the freezing cold. Whatever . . . haters. Amy looks awesome–just look at how slim she is. You don’t get like that without putting hours in on the elliptical. She was probably up so early to go jogging.

BEATLES legend RINGO STARR has voiced his support for troubled AMY WINEHOUSE.

He reckons the singer can beat her drug demons as long as she is willing to seek Help.

Ringo said: “God Bless Amy. She’s a great talent and she’s going through a situation right now.

“It’s a very public destruction. The good news is that there’s more help around now than before.”

He also had encouraging words for another druggy star – PETE DOHERTY.

Referring to the BABYSHAMBLES frontman’s addiction issues, Ringo said: “You can do it. God Bless you, Pete.”

Although, like a lot of people, the drummer hasn’t actually heard one of the rocker’s songs.

Asked about the music he said: “I’ve no idea. I’ve only seen him in photos coming out of a court.”

Today’s druggy stars could do worse than take some lifestyle tips from Ringo, who sustains himself by “eating carrots.”

He is releasing his 16th solo studio album next month.

But you won’t find him collaborating with the likes of Pete or Amy in an attempt to get in with a younger audience.

Interviewed for Time magazine, out today, he admitted: “You can only be what you are.

“They’d like me to work with these new bands and I won’t do it. I’m just not desperate to be No1.”

Amy’s having a white Xmas

TROUBLED Amy Winehouse will check in to rehab — after a Christmas blow-out.

The singer, 24, who has a history of cocaine and heroin use, has vowed to get her life back on track in the New Year.

Her team are going ahead with plans to send her on a one-week rehab and detox treatment course in Israel, as revealed in The Sun last week. But the Back To Black star wants a festive season binge first — including a party at her new flat in Bow, East London.

A pal said Amy — nominated for six Grammies — is desperate to shine at the glittering Los Angeles awards ceremony on February 10.

He revealed: “Amy has agreed she will sort her life out in the New Year.

“She wants to give the performance of her life in LA. But she’s going to throw a party over Christmas — which will probably be a messy affair.” Amy — whose husband Blake, 25, is in jail awaiting trial for assault — suffered a drug overdose in August and briefly attended a rehab centre in Essex.

Her pal said: “Things have got worse for Amy since Blake was jailed.

“She’s been taking more drugs than ever. It’s become like having a cup of tea.”

More than a decade after her first recordings, 51-year-old soul queen Sharon Jones is enjoying a long-overdue moment in the sun. The Augusta, Ga., native and avowed James Brown disciple celebrated the October release of her new album, 100 Days, 100 Nights, with her own live at the Apollo gig, jammed with Booker T. & the MG's, and backed up Lou Reed's live replication of his legendary album, Berlin. Still to come is a role in Denzel Washington's The Great Debaters, as a 1930s juke-joint singer belting out Bessie Smith songs. Sadly, her one spoken line didn't make the final cut. "I got to get the DVD for that," she says in a phone interview.
Then there's the matter of a certain rapidly imploding British soul singer. Amy Winehouse has cited Jones as a major influence, and thought enough of her impeccable '60s-soul sound to nab her band, the Dap-Kings, to back her both live and on record (including both of her hit singles). Winehouse's touring schedule left Jones temporarily bandless, but the exposure has done her nothing but good.

"People are like, 'Dap-Kings who?' " she says. "Then they're like, 'Wow.' They can't mention Amy Winehouse without mentioning me, so that's a good thing."

Personally, Jones has had a much rougher time. She counts 22 friends and family who have died in the last year, beginning with James Brown and including her brother, and she took some time off from performing to help her mother recover from a stroke. "I've been reading about all the good stuff and great things, but I've been having some real trials and tribulations," she says.

But since the release of 100 Days, with its flawless (but not slavish) evocation of classic Stax and Motown recordings, things have been looking up. And Jones is pleased to note that vintage vogue has spread beyond college students and record collectors to older audiences and hip-hop artists like Jay-Z and Ghostface Killah.

"I think everyone is coming around," she says, "and I'm glad we held on."
