- Ok, So for the record I asked Robby the same question in 2005 . The 'Jim and I got into a fight before the show' is a myth that he is playing on. When I asked that was his first answer .
My friend said 'I didn't think Jim was a violent type' . Robby laughed and said something like don't mess with my story.
He then said it was from a car accident a few days prior to Smothers brothers.
Of course an eye just doesn't get black so quickly. Good story though.
- He (and Ray, I think) also said that Jim got into an argument with bikers over a pool table at a bar, and while Jim was hustled out of there in a hurry, Robby got sucker-punched by one of them.
