26/05/2008
'When In Rome 2007' is a triple DVD featuring over 4 hours 30 minutes of material, shot during the band's first tour in 15 Years 'Turn It On Again'.
Registering as one of the most successful tours of 2007, the Turn It On Again tour saw one of Britain's most internationally renowned bands, Genesis, play together for the first time in 15 years. Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford played at a series of Stadiums that ended with this spectacular concert in Rome in front of 500,000 fans at the beautiful Circo Massimo on 14 July 2007. This final European date was captured in all its glory by director David Mallet and will be released on DVD on 17 March 2008. The package also includes a fly-on-the-wall documentary.
Entitled 'When In Rome 2007' this 2 hour 40 minutes show, featuring Genesis classics such as 'Land Of Confusion' and 'Mama' to older Genesis repertoire 'Los Endos', 'Carpet Crawlers' and the haunting 'Ripples', is presented over two DVD's packed with deleted scenes, photo gallery and tour programme. Additionally, each track gives access to visual extras relating to each song on the DVD. Shown in its full glory on the DVD, the Turn It On Again production featured the largest screen ever used at a concert spanning 64 metres. The set was designed by world famous Mark Fisher and the spectacular lighting show, the work of genius Patrick Woodroffe.
