Emerson, Lake & Palmer

Одна из самых вдохновляющих групп. Эмерсоновский пафос не так воспринимался мною в 13 лет, однако ж сейчас, переслушивая все альбомы в цифре (когда-то их все слышал только на виниле), прихожу в какой-то оцепеняющий харизматический восторг, особенно это касается Brain..., Tarcus, ELPowell. Правда, тирания Кийта клавишными практически одного тембра сегодня меня не так радует (Уэйкмэн тут почему-то не так выделяется, в смысле, не так давит обилием электронных клавиш). Но это субъективно, и вообще ELP - великие новаторы, а Эмерсона я вообще всегда считал современным классиком, которого сравниваю с Вагнером...

"Се ля Ви" - одна из любимейших песен.Если кто не слышал,очень рекомендую.Lake поет очень задушевно...

Carl Palmer's CV as a drummer includes Atomic Rooster, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Asia and of course Emerson, Lake & Palmer and has established him as one of the finest rock drummers of all time. The Carl Palmer Band is a trio that also features the considerable talents of Paul Bielatowicz on guitars and Dave Marks on bass and gives a different take on classic ELP tracks and previously unheard material. This show was filmed in the Bucharest Sport Arena in Romania at the end of 2004.

Welcome back my friends, to the show that never ends! Roaring applause echoed compere Alan Freeman's stirring words of welcome, the night ELP made their historic return to London. The Royal Albert Hall was certainly a fitting venue for the dynamic trio to make their long awaited come back. The venerable hall has long been the homeof great and glorious music and that was always ELP's speciality.In 1991, after many years absence, ELP reformed with its original line up of Keith Emerson, Greg Lake & Carl Palmer and the following year released a brand new studio album Black Moon.

Originally released in 1977, Works Volume 1, which reached #12 on the Billboard album chart, marked a turning point for ELP--the double LP contained a side each of solo recordings by all three members, and a fourth side of band recordings. Emerson's side consists of a classical piano piece, Lake's side consisted of concise pop songs, including the hit "C'est La Vie," and Palmer uses his side to rock out, inviting along Joe Walsh for to play lead guitar on one track. The final side features ELP on Copland's "Fanfare For The Common Man" and a new original. This 2 CD set is remastered from the Original Master Tapes.
