Julian Lennon - 40!!!

Monday, 8 April 1963 - At 7:45, after two days of labor, John Charles Julian Lennon is born at Sefton General Hospital, Liverpool, England weighing 6lbs 11oz. He is named John after his father, Beatle John Lennon, Charles after his mother's, Cynthia Powell's, father, and Julian after John's mother Julia. Yes, it’s my birthday! Thank you very much for all your cards and gifts
and good wishes.

I guess 40 is a bit of a milestone and like most people it has made me
feel a bit reflective!

Going back to the beginning … I got dealt the most unusual set of cards
and I’ve made no secret of the fact that sometimes life was tough for me
and mum, but we survived, in fact we did better than survive, I think we
turned out rather well, ‘cos we had each other. What I have learnt over
the years … with all the madness and mayhem … is that what really matters
is family and friends. If we don’t lose sight of that we’ll be ok.
Living through this time of political uncertainty only makes me believe
this even more. And maybe once we get through this unsettled time we can
look forward to a future of harmony, tolerance and peace.

Making music is just one of things I do, it will always be part of my
life. But what, over the years, has made me the proudest is that my music
has touched so many people and that you’ve told me so. Writing songs that
mean something to people makes me feel truly happy!

Love and music … these have always been the most important things to me.
And I’ve been privileged to have both … I can honestly say I’m one of the
luckiest *%$Ј*&”
I know! So thank you to all the special people in my life!

They say life begins at 40 … and you know I really do feel that I’m at the
beginning of whatever is yet to come and that I’ve still to reach my full
potential as an artist and human being … now’s the time to put into
practice everything I’ve learnt so far.

I’m taking a couple of weeks off to celebrate my birthday, but I’ll be
back in the studio soon. The writing is going well and I’m really pleased
with how my home studio has turned out, so the new album is very much on
its way!

I’ll sign off now but not before I say a heartfelt thank you to each of
you for all your love and support over the years, you’ll never know how
much it means to me. Thank you.

Жаль! Талантливый парень, все жизнь остававшийся за тенью отца.Жаль в смысле того что особо ничего не добился в музыкальном плане несмотря на очень-очень прекрасные песни.
Как-то в интервью лет 7 назад когда еще была передача "до 16 и тарше" он в интервью сказал что хочет попробовать себя как актер. Кому-нибудь что-либо известно о его работах в кино если такие были?

Что-то было с Николосом Кейджем, не поню сейчас надо порыться.

Фильм, в котором Джулиан сыграл вместе с Кейджем, называется "Leaving Las Vegas". У нас на лицензии точно выходил. Роль, понятно, была эпизодическая. В фильме "Love and Betrayal: The Mia Farrow Story" он сыграл...кого бы вы думали...роль своего папаши. Также озвучивал Дэвида Копперфильда в одноименном мультфильме, появился в малоизвестном фильме The Hunting of the Snark, а также в некоторых других картинах сыграл самого себя.

Природа отдыхает на детях.

На Джулиане не отдохнула. Это все тень отца.

Birthday Newsletter - 08 April 04

Hello folks!

Yes, it’s my birthday again! Where does all the time go???????????????? Thank you for your cards and messages … it’s always wonderful to hear from you.

I am well, things are good and I’m enjoying life, when I’m not stressed out!
Red, the restaurant/lounge/bar I am involved with, is still in the process of last minute refurbishment, but it’s going well. We are looking forward to some fine spring weather so that people can start to enjoy the outdoor terrace and share some stories over a Cool Cocktail while gazing at the stars, or listen to a little live jazz on a lazy, hazy Sunday afternoon, while enjoying a ‘somewhat’ traditional Sunday lunch – RED style!

The newest Blowfish in LA has now opened to the public although it had previously hosted a number of private parties with many celebrities. The official opening will probably take place in the first week of May when there will be a Grand Opening party.

Apart from my restaurant and bar ventures I am of course working on my music, when I get a chance, but I’m yet again upgrading the studio, so it’ll be out of action for a few months, as will I! I have a few other projects in the pipeline, including scoring the film “The Gathering” which I’ve talked about before. This may sound like a lot, but I have so many interests and a million ideas and I’m trying to achieve as much as possible, while I can! I’m feeling pretty positive about the year ahead and hoping that some, if not all of these projects will come to fruition before too long!

A couple of years ago I recorded “When I’m 64” for a TV commercial in the US. I’m not sure how many of you saw the ad or heard the song, but for a laugh and to celebrate my birthday I thought I’d include a clip in the ‘Latest’ section of the Lennon.net site. C днем рождения, Джул! Хотя, с другой стороны, на это можно посмотреть и так: сыну вечно молодого Джона уже 41. Очень какое-то странное ощущение.

Новый альбом Джулиана уже записан. Название - "Everything Changes". Дата выхода - конец 2009 - начало 2010 года.
