1970
Reports in the US state that Paul's first solo album, McCartney, has sold over 1,000,000 copies in its first four weeks of release.
1971
John and Yoko, scheduled to appear in court in Majorca charged with trying to abduct Kyoko, attend the Cannes Film Festival. Their fims "Apotheosis" and "Fly" are being screened during the Filmmaker's Fortnight Festival.
Aboard the yacht "SS Marala", Ringo is with Maureen, George, Patti and Cilla Black. The song "Photograph" comes about, with everyone helping out with the lyrics. Cilla invites Ringo to appear on her upcoming BBC TV special.
1972
At the Manor Studios in Oxfordshire, Paul begins work on the tracks for his album Red Rose Speedway.
1973
Paul and Wings perform at Bournemouth Winter Gardens.
1976
Paul's concert at the Capitol Center, Largo, Maryland ("Wings Over America Tour").
Attending the concert are the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt and Peter Gordon. After the show Linda and Peter go backstage to chat with Paul.
1978
At the Baynard Gallery, the exhibition of Linda's photograghs continues.
1981

The "Art Of The Beatles" Exhibition, portraying 30 years of the group in the form of cartoons, paintings, photographs, album covers, lithographs and sculptures, continues.
1985
Paul records a 17 second message of sympathy to be added to the charity single for the Bradford City football stadium fire disaster of May 11th.
1986
In the Maldive Islands, John's image appears on a 70 laree postage stamp.
1988
The Beatles' cartoon series, produced in the US between 1965 and 1967, premieres in the UK. The cartoons will run on the Night Network every weekend until October 27, 1988. This is the last time this cartoons will be aired on any TV station in the world for the rest of the century.
1995
Paul, George and Ringo return to The Mill studio in Sussex to finish production on "Real Love".
1996
In the UK, ITN transmits a few seconds of a recently discovered color film of the Beatles performing at the Casanova Club in Liverpool on February 14, 1961. Apple is offered the film for the sum of Ј30,000. They decline the offer and instead offer only Ј10,000.
1997
At the Plaza Hotel in New York, George and Ravi Shankar tape interviews for the American programs "Access Hollywood" and CNN's "Showbiz Today". Another interview is given to "People" magazine and to the NPR program "All Things Considered".
1999
Paul's art exhibition at the Kunstforum Lyz in Hamburg with 75 of his 500 private paintings.
In the UK, a survey of the Top 100 Singles Of All Time is published. The Beatles are featured three times with "She Loves You" the highest at number 19. John's "Imagine" comes in at number 21. The top song is Bill Haley and The Comets' "Rock Around The Clock".
2013
James McCartney performs in concert at Club Metronome, Burlington, VT (US Tour).
