The "Art Of The Beatles" Exhibition, portraying 30 years of the group in the form of cartoons, paintings, photographs, album covers, lithographs and sculptures, continues.

At the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, the musical tribute stage play "Lennon" re-opens.
1987
The "Beatle City" exhibition runs at the West End marketplace in Dallas, Texas.
1988
At the NFT (National Film Theatre) in London, a celebration honoring Handmade Films. All of Handmade films are shown from "Monty Python's Meaning Of Life" to the current release, "Track 29".
In London, the exhibition "Imagine", featuring John's original art, runs at the Business Design Centre.
1989
In Studio 6 at the Goldcrest Film Studios in Hertfordshire, Paul and his band perform a special pre-concert for their upcoming major tour. Those attending are mainly fan club members and winners from an all-day Radio One contest.

A contract revealing that the Beatles refused to perform in front of a segregated audience at the Cow Palace in Daly City, California on August 31, 1965, sold for $23,033 at an auction in Los Angeles.
2013
Illinois' Gov. Pat Quinn proclaims today as "George Harrison Day". A historical marker commemorating the 50th anniversary of George's visit to Benton, IL is unveiled at the Franklin County Courthouse lawn. In 1963, before the Beatles became world famous, George came to Benton to visit his sister Louise.
In Los Angeles, the exhibition "The Early Beatles Collection," featuring images taken by Astrid Kirchherr, runs at the Leica Gallery. Images include pictures taken during the filming of "A Hard Day's Night" in 1964 for Stern Magazine, as well as some of the images she took of the musicians during their Hamburg, Germany, period in 1960.
