Apple Music run advertisements soliciting tapes from unknown artists, offering financial grants as part of a deal to release records on the Apple label. Artists such as Badfinger, James Taylor, Mary Hopkin, Jackie Lomax, David Peel and Elephant's Memory are signed up.
1969
Meeting at Henry Ansbacher & Co. offices. Inventory of Northern Songs stocks. Paul attends.

George appears unannounced with the comedy team of Monty Python, wearing the uniform of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, during the performance of "The Lumberjack Song".

Partly funded by Yoko, a portion of Central Park is officially dedicated to John as "Strawberry Fields".
1985
The 20th anniversary reissue of "Ticket To Ride" reaches number 70 on the UK singles chart.
1989
Paul, along with several other artists, record the song "Ferry Cross The Mersey" at the PWL Studios. The song is recorded to raise money for the Hillsborough Disaster Fund, which was organized to aid the families of the Hillsborough football stadium disaster where 90 fans tragically died.
1992
The Japanese children's program "Tsukai Ningen-Den" ("Dashing Life Stories") airs the story of John's life through pictures and archieve footage. Included is the previously presumed destroyed video footage of Double Fantasy.
1993
Paul's concert at the Aggie Memorial in Las Cruces, New Mexico ("New World Tour").
1998
Ringo and Barbara pay tribute to linda with the following statement: "Barbara and I would like to say how sorry we are. We were privileged to have known her - her positive courage through her illness was truly inspiring. We send all our love to Paul, Heather, Mary, Stella and James. It was a blessing that she was in our lives - Ringo & Barbara."
In New York, mourners for Linda leave bouquets of flowers on the memorial to John Lennon in Central Park.
2003
An album entitle Hope, to benefit child war victims in Iraq, was released today. Artists featured on the album: Paul McCartney, David Bowie, George Michael, Leonard Cohen, Moby, Our Lady Peace and Avril Lavigne who covered Bob Dylan's "Knockin' on Heaven's Door."
2012
Bert Weedon, whose "Play In A Day" guitar guide set some of the biggest names in rock and roll on the road to greatness, dies. He was 91. "Play In A Day", released in 1957, sold over two million copies and helped to inspire a generation of budding musicians including John Lennon, Eric Clapton and Brian May.
2013
Record Store Day is observed with independent music retailers around the world stocked with exclusive RSD releases from myriad bands representing every genre under the sun. In the Classic Rock section, Paul releases a 12” EP of 1976’s live version of "Maybe I’m Amazed" and Ringo has a 7" vinyl box set of his 1973 LP Ringo.
A rare VOX guitar played by both John and George is displayed at the Newbridge Silverware Museum of Style Icons. John gave the guitar to “Magic Alex” Mardas. A plaque affixed to the back of the guitar reads “To Magic Alex Alexi thank you for been a friend 2-5-1967 John.”
2014
In New York City, the Donald and Mary Oenslager Gallery runs in the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, at Lincoln Center. The library exhibition include tour memorabilia, historic film clips, video interviews with musicians, as well as interactive exhibits.
