VH-1 in Europe broadcasts, for the first time on the station, the Dick Clark TV film "The Birth Of The Beatles".
In the UK, the BBC2 archive show "TOTP2" airs the promo video for John's 1980 recording of "I'm Losing You".
A seven inch single by the Quarry Men featuring John, Paul and George was named as the rarest record of all time, only 50 copies were made with each copy being valued at £10,000.
1999
In Tampa, Florida, the exhibition of Linda's pictures entitled "Sixties" is displayed at the Tampa Museum of Art.
Paul told London's "Sunday Telegraph" newspaper that he cried for 14 months following the April 1998 death of his wife, Linda, but said he's now getting on with his life.
2007
A copy of John Lennon's book, A Spaniard in the Works, which contained a lock of Lennon's hair, sold at Gorringes Auction House for £24,000. Lennon gave the book and the hair to Betty Glasow, the Beatles' hairdresser during their heyday. He wrote in the book, "To Betty, Lots of Love and Hair, John Lennon xx." The strands of hair and book had been expected to sell for between £2,000 and £4,000.
2012
The jacket worn by George during the Beatles' early years goes on the auction block at Bonhams Entertainment Memorabilia sale, making £110,450. Also included in the sale is a pair of George’s black leather Beatle boots from 1964, selling for £61,250 against a pre-sale estimate of £12,000 – 15,000. A bright orange western-style shirt worn during his famous charity event, "The Concert For Bangladesh", sold for £23,750. Also sold was the guitar used by Paul during the 1950s as a member of the The Quarry Men. Accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from McCartney, the guitar sold for £43,250.
Paul joins Bruce Springsteen, Kanye Wayne, Billy Joel, The Who, Alicia Keys and Jon Bon Jovi in concert at Madison Square Garden. Proceeds go to the Robin Hood Relief Fund to benefit those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
