Награды журнала New Musical Express

По опросу читателей NME, Битлз были названы самой лучшей группой всех времен и народов, а также получили призы еще в двух номинациях.

Пол Маккартни, его дочь Стелла и сын Джеймс неожиданно появились на церемонии вручения призов в London's Mermaid Theatre журналом New Musical Express. В произнесенной речи Маккартни поблагодарил многих, начиная от Ринго и заканчивая Богом.

Вышел фильм "Gimme Some Truth"

1 февраля в Европе был показан новый 56-минутный документальный фильм о Джоне Ленноне "Gimme Some Truth". Это сессии записи альбома Imagine из архивов Йоко Оно. DVD с этим фильмом выйдет в конце 2000 года.
