As well as the upcoming 2 CD remastering of 'Disraeli Gears', 'Cream At The BBC' [ну наконец-то] is due for an April 7th release, as are the first batch of 8 Jack Bruce albums 'Songs for a Tailor' (1969), 'Things We Like' (1970), 'Harmony Row' (1971), 'Out of the Storm' (1974), 'How's Tricks' (1977), 'Jet Set Jewel', 'Jack Bruce and Friends Live at the Free Trade Hall, Manchester' and a compilation album. Each of the Jack Bruce CDs, with the exception of the 'Free Trade Hall concert' and the compilation, will contain unreleased tracks or alternate takes as bonus material. No re-releases have been planned for the U.S.

The Bee Gees have officially announced that the band has broken up due to their brother Maurice Gibb's unexpected death last week. Robin Gibb, twin brother to Maurice, said he and older sibling Barry have decided that they will no longer use the name they performed under for the past thirty years. "Anything we do, we will do together, but it'll be as brothers -- not under the name of the Bee Gees, that will be reserved in history as the three of us," Robin Gibb told Britain's GMTV show. Nevertheless, he expressed that he and Barry will continue to make music. "I think Maurice would want that." Maurice Gibb died on January 12th at 53, after suffering a heart attack prior to undergoing surgery for an intestinal blockage. Robin Gibb also said that losing his twin brother is analogous to "losing your soul mate." http://www.arrowfm.com/grapevine/stories/01-23beegees.shtml |

And you thought you were a serious, I mean serious, Rolling Stones fan? Think again, because the real die-hard fan was blowing all over the stage at the FleetCenter on Sunday night. all right, get this: On Sunday night, a woman showed up at the Stones show. Under her arm she's holding baggy full of gray powder. In the seventies (or eighties) one would probably suppose that this was some revolutionary type of cocaine, but now? Let's just say that nobody in their right mind would sniff this powder; mainly because it happened to be the remains of her late husband! A late husband who was also a HUGE Stones fan. Apparently her better half bought the tickets for the show, then, well... died. So, as you might have figured at this point, the grieving widow was determined on fulfilling his last wish - to see his favorite band one last time. But she gave him oh so much more. "She went up to the runway stage and asked one of the security guards if he could dump her husband's ashes there," said FleetCenter spokesdude Jim Delaney. "The security staff told her that that probably wouldn't be the most appropriate thing to do." The widow, of course, ignored these instructions and figured heck "when in Rome!" "About10 minutes later, there she was tossing the ashes on the runway," Delaney said. The staff was at a loss. Where's a damn dust buster when you need one! Well, before the staff could get their hands on a home appliance the boys took the stage and danced all over the ashes. Yee haw! Mick's dancing on my departed soul, mama! Either way, word is that Keith was mighty peeved when he saw Mick dancing on a perfectly good batch of powder. Just kidding -- about the last part. The rest is true. When I go I hope someone has the gall to throw me on David Bowie's stage. http://www.arrowfm.com/grapevine/stories/01-17stones.shtml |

Сейчас, кстати, вышел превосходный двойной СD "All the leaves are brown" - на нем четыре "номерных альбома" + моно-версии трех, что ли, синглов и одна "неальбомная" песня (Glad to Be Unhappy). Highly recommended, как говорится. Единственный минус - Deliver начинается на первом диске, а заканчивается на втором.
I Call Your Name M&P c

Послушал я тут "Blue Wild Angel" (2 СD) [полный концерт на Isle of Wight].
