On 18 September (19 September in the US), Eagle Rock Entertainment will release another DVD in their "Live At Montreux" Series. "Eric Clapton: Live At Montreux 1986" is a 16 track disc which features Eric, Nathan East, Greg Phillinganes and Phil Collins in concert at that year's Montreux Jazz Festival. The setlist included well-known material like "White Room", "I Shot The Sheriff", "Badge", and "Layla" along with several songs from Eric's then unreleased album, "August".

Eric's guest appearance with Otis Rush is featured in "Otis Rush & Friends: Live At Montreux 1986".

Eric Clapton and his band have been on the road in Europe for the second leg of his World Tour since 7 July. This portion of the tour included stops in Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark before arriving in Finland for the final night. The tour was to wind up with a massive ourdoor concert in Moscow's Red Square on 3 August, but the event was cancelled late last week by Russian authorities.

Both legs of the European tour featured an expanded band with some familiar faces and some new personnel. Bandmembers were Doyle Bramhall II (guitar), Derek Trucks (guitar), Chris Stainton (keyboards), Tim Carmon (keyboards), Willie Weeks (bass), Steve Jordan (drums), The Kick Horns - Simon Clarke, Roddy Lorimer and Tim Sanders (brass), Michelle John (backing vocals), and Sharon White (backing vocals).

The set list from Helsinki's Hartwall Arena included songs from Eric's back catalog, such as "Pretending", "Got To Get Better In A Little While", "Motherless Children", and "Everybody Oughta Make A Change". A short acoustic set included the title track to EC's most recent CD, "Back Home", "Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out" and "I Am Yours." Blistering guitar work from Eric, Doyle and Derek thrilled concert-goers on numbers like "Little Queen of Spades" and "Cocaine".

I knew Robert Cray is good, but really he was a great surprise. EC was - as usual - good and satisfying. His way of not talking to audience may annoy some, but I like it - I do not come to concert to hear talking. I came to hear music and with EC I get what I want. In Helsinki, Hartwall Arena has never good acoustic setting, so the volume was too high. Otherwise the concert was great. This was 3rd time I heard him in Helsinki, plus Cream concert in London last May 2005.

Personally I loved most Nobody Knows You When You Are Down And Out as well as Running on Faith. They had the feeling in them. Robert Cray should have played more with EC, it was a delight to hear them play together in Crossroads!

Вообще, это очень известный бутлег. Надо будет достать и в таком виде тоже.
Хорошо, что отснятый материал тех лет начинает всплывать. Может еще и 24 NIGHTS издадут в нормальном виде!
