A little bit about ‘The Macca Band’.

We are a total recreation of Paul McCartney’s present touring band, we do not perform as a tribute to Paul’s 1970’s style ‘Wing’s, but Paul’s modern touring band, we perform in character as Paul’s present band who have been together since 2001, comprising of Lead guitarist Rusty Anderson, Rhythm/Bass guitarist Brian Ray, Keyboards Wix Wickens, and Drums Abe Laboriel jr.

Paul McCartney is played by Neil Tudor, who has been working for the real Paul as his double since 2007, Paul knows about the band and has sent messages of support via his band members to us, Brian Ray whom I portray has personally messaged me sending his support and sending me tips and information about his on stage sound.

The members of ‘The Macca Band’ are all professional musicians who’s careers cover a vast range, myself and our lead guitarist have performed in a number of Sixties and Beatles tributes, our Keyboard player performs with The Merseybeat group ‘The Undertakers’ and our drummer has played with a host of Liverpool legends during the 1990’s to present day.

Our show is an accurate recreation of Paul’s sets used on his world wide tours, same instruments are used, same amps, from Vox, to Ashdown, musically our sets are taken from his various tours adding new material both from his solo career as well as from his additions of Beatles numbers.

All the hits from The Beatles, Wings and Paul’s solo career are performed as done by Paul and his band totally live, no backing tracks, or Click tracks are used in our performances, all material in performed in the original key’s.

There is something for every generation in our show as we perform from the whole of Paul’s back Catalogue, The 1960’s The Beatles, 1970’s Wings, 1980’s to present day Solo hits.
