Одной из них была Yesterday,ставшей одной из самой популярных песен квартета...

9.00am, Friday 4 March 1966 (46 years ago)

On the same day that John Lennon's comments that The Beatles were "more popular than Jesus were first published, The Beatles released the Yesterday EP in the United Kingdom.
It contained four songs from the Help! album: Yesterday, Act Naturally, You Like Me Too Much and It's Only Love.

The Beatles' 11th EP was released as Parlophone GEP 8948 in mono only, and the cover photograph was taken by Robert Whitaker. Unusually for 1966, each Beatle took lead vocals on a song.

Yesterday entered the UK EP chart on 12 March 1966, and from 26 March spent six weeks at number one. In all it remained on the hit parade for 13 weeks.

This was the first of a two-day shoot in which The Beatles filmed scenes at a hospital for handicapped children and elderly people on New Providence Island, the Bahamas.

In the film script they presumed the building was a temple. During the shoot, however, The Beatles thought the building was a former army camp. After finding out its true purpose they were disgusted with the conditions there.

9 марта 1963: Live: Granada Cinema, London9 марта 1963: Live: Granada Cinema, London

Just five days after their tour with Helen Shapiro ended, The Beatles embarked on another.
Their second theatre tour began at the Granada Cinema on Barking Road, East Ham, London

The tour bill was topped by two American singers, Chris Montez and Tommy Roe. Unfortunately for them, The Beatles soon proved to be the acts that the audiences wanted to see. For the second performance the following day, The Beatles were at their rightful place at the top.

The Beatles played the following set on the tour: Love Me Do, Misery, A Taste Of Honey, Do You Want To Know A Secret, Please Please Me and I Saw Her Standing There.
