Those in attendance include Mickey Dolenz, Davy Jones, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Marvin Gaye, The Faces, Rudy Vallee, Phil Everly, The Jackson Five, Bob Dylan, Ryan and Tatum O'Neal, Dean Martin, Tony Curtis, Paul Williams, Cher, David Cassidy, members of Led Zeppelin, Mal Evans, Derek Taylor and George Harrison. This marks the first time since the Beatles broke up that Paul and George have socialized together.
1980
US LP release: Rarities (Capitol SHAL 12060). This album offers the first authorized release of "Love Me Do" with Ringo on drums.

Wally Heider, who played host to Paul and Wings during their Los Angeles recording sessions for the LP Venus And Mars, dies of lung cancer. He was 66.
1990
Yoko takes part in an on-stage lecture at the Riverside Studios cinema in Hammersmith. After the question and answer session, Yoko remains while the films "Rape", "Freedom" and "Fly" are shown.
1997
In the US, Carroll James, recognized as the first American DJ to play a Beatles song on the radio in Washington, D.C., dies of cancer at the age of 60.
2000
A film company paid £635,000 for over nine hours of film shot during the '70s by Yoko Ono. The film contained shots of John smoking hash and talking about his political beliefs.
2007
Big 100.3, Washington D.C., host a three day presentation of Ringo Starr's complete signed works of art at the Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, Maryland.
2008
Neil Aspinall dies at a hospital in New York from cancer. He was 66.

In New York City, the Donald and Mary Oenslager Gallery runs in the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, at Lincoln Center. The library exhibition include tour memorabilia, historic film clips, video interviews with musicians, as well as interactive exhibits.
