The "Art Of The Beatles" Exhibition, portraying 30 years of the group in the form of cartoons, paintings, photographs, album covers, lithographs and sculptures, continues.

At the BBC Television Theatre, London, Paul makes his first live appearance on the BBC1 talk show "Wogan".

In the US, the newspaper "USA Today" mentions a new mystery group calling themselves The Traveling Wilburys will be releasing their debut album in October.

BBC Radio One broadcasts the George and Olivia interview of the Radio One documentary on the Romanian Appeal, entitled "Nobody's Child" (taped June 20, 1990).
During the month, Video Collection International releases the compilation video "Thomas The Tank Engine And Friends" featuring 17 stories narrated by Ringo.

In the US, George records an interview about the release of The Concert For Bangla Desh on CD.
