Things We Said In Denver (Audiofön AF 09)Things We Said In Denver (Audiofön AF 09)
Pepsi Center, Denver, CO - November 1, 2005

(60:00): Jam #1, Massage, Lady Madonna, Whole Lot Of Shakin’ Going On, Friends To Go, Friends To Go, The Midnight Special, Things We Said Today, Honey Don’t, Coming Up, Jam #2, All My Loving, C Moon, Jam #3, Matchbox, Jam #4

Things We Said In Denveris an hour long soundcheck before the November 1st show at the Pepsi Center in Denver. Taken from the soundboard, it is a crystal clear and detailed professional recording with very nice balance and presence of all of the instruments in the mix. There is applause between the tracks sounding very far away from the road crew (or whomever is there).

It is rare for a soundcheck to be released, especially in this good quality. Hearing McCartney and the band warming up is a pleasure as they are very laid back and getting ready for the evening’s gig. The tape opens light five minute jam session before they get into the spaced-out “Massage.” This is an experimental tune describing the sensations of receiving a nice massage which afterwards McCartney calls “a little bit if improv there, a flight of fantasy that is almost as good as a massage. You feel yourself floating away with juniper oil.”

They play a great version of the newer song “Friends To Go” before it breaks down with McCartney asking: ”is the balance okay. It sounds a bit hot up here…it just seemed a bit hotter than earlier, but then we are a mile high. The air is thinner, therefore the sound travels…fatter.” While they start “Midnight Special” he tells the story of the legend that inspired the song which he did every show that night.

The tour featured a great funked up version of “Coming Up,” one of McCartney’s best songs and they play it with the short “Peter Gunn Theme” interlude in the middle. A short jam follows before McCartney tells the goofy story about “All My Loving,” saying it’s really about an old Jewish woman named Old Ma Leven, the renowned pickle maker. He practices reiterating the joke afterwards to make sure everyone gets it.

There is a short interluded afterwards where Rusty plays a bit of Gershwin’s “Rhapsody In Blue” on guitar before McCartney tells the “C Moon” story. The third jam is a much more polished number without lyrics and the tape ends with “Matchbox” and yet more jamming. Things We Said In Denveris packaged in a standard jewel case with high quality inserts. Given the rarity and the phenomenal sound quality, this is another sterling release on the great Audiofön label who have released the best Paul McCartney releases in the past couple years.

Medium Rare Tracks 1972-2008 (Secret Garden SGCD-13)Medium Rare Tracks 1972-2008 (Secret Garden SGCD-13)

(79:19): Bluebird (Radio Performance), C Moon (Take 3 Pre Overdubs 1972), Wonderful Christmastime (Esanto Mix), Beware My Love (Take 1 Instrumental Run Through), Hope Of Deliverance (Instrumental 1992), Stella May Day (unidentified 1 May 1995), Is It Raining In London (unidentified date unknown), Kansas City (Rejected song for Lieber Stoller Tribute), Tropic Island Hum (Instrumental Version) Just Fun (Zurich Soundcheck 2 Jun 2004), Whole Life (Excerpt From Rehearsal), Somedays (Different Mix), Be Bop A Lula (Paul on ukulele), Nothing Too Much Just Out Of Sight (Dub Edit 2), Sawain Ambient Acapella (iTunes Bonus Trak), My Soul (Vocal only by Paul), Sticks And Stones - Check My Machine (Original Intro Source), Song For Stella (Excerpt With Narration From Stella’s Story BBC Special), Rushes (Mellotron Takes 1998), Just Fun (’homemade’ Sound Collage), Tropic Island Hum (Full Film Version), Whole Life (Excerpt From An Alternate Mix), Stella May Day (Excerpt From Totally Different Version), Stella May Day (Sequence Of Backing Track), Wonderful Christmastime (Rhythm Scholar Kringle Kut Remix), Is It Raining In London (From Movin’ On)

Medium Rare Tracks 1972-2008 collects together on one disc various rare and previously unreleased tracks spanning the length of Paul McCartney’s post-Beatles career, both with Wings and as a solo artist. With a potpurri of numbers like this the sound quality varies but they are all in general good to excellent professionally sourced tapes. This is a straight silver copy of the CDR download of the same name on the Nowhere Man Records.

“Bluebird” comes from a 1972 radio broadcast and features Paul and Linda singing the tune. “What does this gentleman to the right of you do… a wandering minstrel.” It is sung as a duet. “C Moon” is a totally different take than the final recorded version taken from a scratchy acetate. It lacks the horn section overdubs and the children’s chorus is buried in the mix. Linda responds to Paul’s lyrics in an exaggerated nasal voice.

“Wonderful Christmas Time” is the Esanto mix which adds extra beats to the studio track. “Beware My Love” is an interesting instrumental track of the Wings hit and makes its debut in this collection. “Hope Of Deliverance” follows and is an instrumental run through of the Off The Ground track.

“Stella May Day” is a track from 1995 written for his daughter Stella. She studied fashion design and at her graduation had supermodels Naomi Campbell, Yasmin Le Bon and Kate Moss display her work. The collection was show to this song written by her father and he would use the melodies later in the Ooboo Joobooradio series. It isn’t one continuous track but rather a series using the same heavy metal power chord played on a fuzzy guitar. Tracks twenty-three and twenty-four are other versions of this work. The first is a fifty-second fragment where riff is played very slow and buried under significant amounts of feedback. The second is eight minutes long, taken at a faster tempo, and has spoken interludes scattered throughout.

“Is It Raining In London” is an unreleased track found in the documentary Movin’ On. This was a film shot in 1993 covering the recording and tour for Off The Ground and it now out of print. The sound quality is a bit below the level of many of the other tracks but is still enjoyble. The song is very slow, featuring Paul singing and accompanying himself on guitar lasting almost five minutes. The final track on the disc is the finished version from the film lasting a bit more than a minute.

“Tropic Island Hum” is a cute and bouncy orchestral number for a children’s animation film created by Paul and released in 2004. It was released as a single with his older children’s tune “We All Stand Together” and both songs and films are featured on McCartney’s DVD The Music And Animation Collection released on September 27th, 2004.

“Just Fun” is a minute long audience tape from the soundcheck before the June 4th, 2004 Zürich performance. This is a very rare Lennon/McCartney original written about the time they first met in the last fifties with the opening words: “They said that our love was just fun / The day that our friendship begun / There’s no blue moon / That I can see.” Paul is quoted, saying: “When we heard that rhyme we just went off that song in a big way. We were never able to fix it either.” The second “Just Fun” track later on the disc is a collage of fragments with mentions of the songs including a Beatles rehearsal where John Lennon can be heard joking around, McCartney reciting the lyrics to the song fast and a reprise of the Zürich rehearsal.

“Whole Life” is a minute long fragment in fair quality from an unidentified rehearsal and is followed by a different mix of “Someday” from Flaming Pie. “Be Bop A Lulu” is another studio fragment lasting a minute long of Paul playing the song on ukulele. “Nothing Too Much Out Of Sight” and “Sawain Ambient Acapella” are among the two most recent songs in this collection. Both are from his The Fireman collaboration with Youth on Electric Arguments. The former is a dub edit and the latter is an ambient track only available from iTunes. “My Soul” is the single released in October 2008 that Paul McCartney and Nitin Sawhney recorded for Sawney’s latest album.

“Sticks And Stones - Check My Machine” is the original forty-second introduction to “Check My Machine” from the demos for McCartney II sessions in 1979. This is basically a series of soundbites from various cartoons. The title for this collection is apropo since these aren’t exactly rarities but are hard to find. Having them together on one disc is extremely convenient for the collection. Secret Garden utilize a standard jewel case with high quality inserts with relevant information on the back over several interesting photographs of McCartney. This is the label Misterclaudel uses to present these oddball collections and for the McCartney collector this is recommended.

The Joint, the Hard Rock concert hall in Las Vegas, hit the jackpot by getting Paul McCartney to reopen the venue after its multi-million dollar makeover…
Fresh from his popular Coachella Show, Paul McCartney followed up with a set at the New Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The 4000 tickets sold out in 7 seconds…

We are afforded the 9:47 minute recorded build-up to this excellent audience Piccadilly Circus label release. The recording is a little flat featuring a bright and more accentuated high end with solid gain and no distortion. The set list varied ever so slightly from the preceding 4-17-09 Coachella show with “Birthday” dropped off and replaced with a brief “Baby Face” and “I Saw Her Standing There”. The audience buzz was electric and clearly heard in the background of just about every track. “Let Me Roll It - Foxy Lady” was played with an edge and given the additional finishing touch at the 4:31 minute mark through 5:34: “A little tribute to Jimmy there” as McCartney went even further to describe a 10 minute bootlegged version that Hendrix played of the “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” single on that Sunday evening immediately following the Friday release of that Beatles album. “Highway” was the first of the heavier sounding tracks from his new Fireman album which was well received by the audience. Huge applause followed a solid “The Long And Winding Road’. The harmonies blended well on a deserving 4:03 “My Love” featuring strong instrumentation accompaniment with McCartney stating: “Thank you, thank you. Love is everywhere”. The stage banter was pretty much identical to that of Coachella. “Dance Tonight” sounded like a good food-stomping track which reminded me of Paul & Linda’s “Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey”. “Mrs. Vanderbilt” could have benefitted from more felt bass with this spirited version that kicked into higher gear at the 4:00 minute mark. “Sing The Changes” was the 2nd driving track from Macca’s new Fireman release that has just continued to grow on me with repeated listens and exhibited effective instrumentation especially from Abe and well-blended harmonies. It sounds like a typical U2 track with an “edge” but with more melodic infusion.

The audience was at a fever pitch following “Band On The Run” + “Back In The U.S.S.R”. Macca sounded more comfortable with a 4;00 minute “Something” which went electric at 1:32 featuring great guitar work and some deeper felt bass notes. McCartney, in my opinion, has finally adopted this Harrison track which was well-received. A nice transition followed with a 4:05 “I’ve Got A Feeling” which the band really got into. The “new” ending resulted in the band taking off through to the 5:43 mark. “Paperback Writer’ was re-worked and highly energized. It’s always a good sign when McCartney let’s the music do the talking… “A Day In The Life - Give Peace A Chance” offered a more subtle transition compared with the Coachella version mentioned in my CMR review. This 2nd disc literally kicked the concert into higher gear. It was plainly evident that the band practiced the 3:44 “Let It Be” as they came close to replicating the original album track which was greeted with good crowd cheer. I can tell the difference when McCartney performs this track with other supporting musicians as opposed to playing it with his current long-standing band. The sudden fireworks explosion on “Live And Let Die” really jolted the crowd. This audience recording, however, does not capture the full impact of this performance. The 2nd fireworks blast caught me by surprise at 3:02 and ended with a 3rd blast. With the 7:00 “Hey Jude”, I felt that McCartney nailed down the timing lending to the impact of the original album track. McCartney’s timing was right on for the entire show which I actually first picked up on with my listen to his 4-17-09 Coachella performance.

The first encore, “Can’t Buy Me Love”, sounded so much closer to the original. Macca sounded good on “Lady Madonna” measuring his vocal leads with his more natural sounding sense of urgency. He was actually leading ahead of his band in a good way. The flatness of this excellent audience recording was more apparent with the 3:02 “I Saw Her Standing There”. The 2nd encore kicked off with a 2:07 “Yesterday” with Macca’s timing spot on making all the difference in the world. He added a little bit of unrehearsed levity explaining afterwards that he recalled that about 3 of the 10 of the so-called best covers of “Yesterday” featured an exaggerated vocal twist which he demonstrated very effectively for the amused audience. “Helter Skelter” tore the roof off as they really kicked it. This particular 3:12 track made me crave for a soundboard source of this show and McCartney lead the band through their “improvised’” ending up to the 4:04 mark. Band introductions were offered in a collective mode following “Get Back”. A raucous “The End’” was featured in the 4:30 “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band - The End” medley with deeper bass lines lending to a powerful finish as McCartney stated: “Thank you. It was our pleasure and we’ll see you next time”.

The 4-17-09 Coachella concert was unique and I suggest accessing the CMR posted review for further clarification. I took a liking to both sources of the Piccadilly Circus label release of that show as compared with the more flat sounding excellent audience recording of PCCD-63/64. The performance, however, for the latter might have even been better, hard as it is to believe, and all things considered. PCCD-65/66/67 was a more enjoyable listen for me primarily because of the improved fidelity and the freshness of hearing this revamped set list. There is no doubt, however, that McCartney and his band have matured and sound like one cohesive well-timed unit with pretty much anything they touch now.

Paul McCartney - 2nd Night At Dome (no label)Paul McCartney - 2nd Night At Dome (no label)

Tokyo Dome, Tokyo, Japan - March 5th, 1990

Disc 1 (77:12): Figure Of Eight, Jet, Got To Get You Into My Life, Rough Ride, Band On The Run, We Got Married, Let ‘Em In, The Long And Winding Road, The Fool On The Hill, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Good Day Sunshine, Can’t Buy Me Love, Put It There, Things We Said Today, Eleanor Rigby, This One, My Brave Face

Disc 2 (53:22): Back In The U.S.S.R., I Saw Her Standing There, Coming Up, Let It Be, Ain’t That A Shame, Live And Let Die, The Hustle, Hey Jude, Yesterday, Get Back, Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight / The End

Paul McCartney’s six date tour of Japan was not only his first visit since the sixties, but is the fulfillment of several frustrating attempts to play there in the days with Wings. They were denied access in 1975 because of a drug conviction and of course the incident in 1979 which effectively ended Wings’ career. All of these shows carry an air of triumph.

2nd Night At Dome is, as the title suggests, the second show at the Big Egg on the tour. The recording is somewhat distant from the stage but picks up the atmosphere very well. There are cuts at 3:46 “Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” 1:08 to 1:51 in “Good Day Sunshine,” 3:51 in “Let It Be” and at 1:46 in “Ain’t That A Shame.” The cuts are filled by another very good to excellent sounding tape with very smooth edits to provide continuity.

Flowers In The Dirt was a grand comeback not only in terms of popularity (receiving platinum and gold certification), but in McCartney’s artistic muse. He left the mid eighties experimenting with different forms of music to return to his strength, composing optimistic songs with catchy melodies. The songs themselves deal with themes like marriage and friendship.

As strong as the new material was the weight of the show rested upon Beatles and Wings hits, some of them being played live for the first time and in new arrangements. The opening three numbers, Flower In The Dirt’s first single “Figure Of Eight,” “Jet” and “Got To Get You Into My Life” are staked from the different eras of his career. The new song “We Got Married” is followed by ”Let ‘Em In” which lacks the big horn arrangement in the first half of the song.

“Now we’re gonna go back through the mists of time to a place called the sixties” Paul says before playing a string of five Beatle numbers. “The Long And Winding Road” sounds like a cross between the Specter and McCartney Nakedversions. In future tours the string arrangements would be tossed for the more traditional approach. “Fool On The Hill” has the Martin Luther King “I have a dream” speech excerpt and is followed by the seven minute long “Sgt Pepper’s” medley which includes the first and second verses enveloping a long, heavy metal sounding guitar break. “Things We Said Today” ends with a gorgeous instrumental which segues into “Eleanor Rigby.”

McCartney singles out the drummer, Chris Whitten, who is “gonna thrash about in a meaningful way” on “Coming Up.” It was a hit in 1980 as an almost new wave interpretation of funk but this arrangement emphasizes its roots in the seventies. The clavinet is loud in the mix, but the song belongs to the drummer as he gives the most energetic performance on the night

Before “Let It Be” McCartney gives a short speech about “Friends Of The Earth,” the charity organization he sponsored for this tour and is followed by the Fats Domino cover “Ain’t That A Shame.” Before the final song of the night “Hey Jude” they play about a minute of “The Hustle” as a joke, a game McCartney had been playing (and still plays) since the mid seventies. The lengthy encore set begins with “Yesterday” and ends with the latter half of the side two medley from Abbey Road. Overall the pacing and selection of songs is impressive, giving a breath taking summery of his career and this recording is recommended.

With a Little Help From My Friends 14. Cosmically Conscious (with ALL PERFORMERS) 15. I Saw Her Standing There (with ALL PERFORMERS)

The Change Begins Within concert is one of the many causes supported by top flight talent. Used to promote transcendental meditation for today’s youth, it became, as Variety writes, “this fund-raising event came across more like a telethon with particularly good production values: It was long on speeches and good intentions but short on bona fide entertainment value.” Among lengthy and self-serving speeches by practitioners of TM including Howard Stern and Mike Love lies the musical acts beginning with Moby and ending with Paul McCartney, the living legend.

Piccadilly Circus is the only silver pressed release of the musical portions of the concert (thankfully omitting the speeches). The sound quality of the tape is much worse than anyone can reasonably expect in 2009. It is distant and distorted and contains too much audience noise to really apprecaite the show. One can give the label the benefit of the doubt by saying this is the only tape source, but honestly listening to this is a chore.

The rest of the Variety review states: “To be sure, topliner Paul McCartney lived up to his end of the bargain when he took the stage, proffering an assortment of fan-pleasing hits and event-appropriate obscurities, but the lead-up to his evening-ending mini-set had surprisingly little punch. Sheryl Crow, for instance, was undoubtedly aiming for subdued in her interpretation of George Harrison’s “My Sweet Lord,” but she landed squarely in the midst of somnolence — terrain in which Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder likewise found himself mired.

“The ennui was highlighted by the sheer number of speeches on behalf of the program’s cause –the promotion of transcendental meditation, a spiritual effort first championed by the Beatles some four decades ago. De facto host David Lynch proved quite affable in his testimony on behalf of TM, but others called upon to testify — Howard Stern and Mike Love of the Beach Boys among them — delivered platitudes that offered little in the way of enlightenment.

“The program picked up steam after the intermission, and not simply by virtue of higher energy. The 1960s troubadour Donovan tapped into the spiritual zeitgeist with particular effectiveness, hitting a gently hypnotic groove on his handful of offerings, notably a shimmering “Wear Your Love Like Heaven” (on which he was joined by My Morning Jacket singer Jim James). Jazz flutist Paul Horn maintained that mood on an austere set anchored by a piece titled, appropriately enough, “Meditation,” but two hours into the show, Beatlemania was practically oozing from the cheap seats.

“Those filling them were rewarded by a brief, charming set by Ringo Starr, who vamped through some of his best known bits from the Fab Four repertoire, including a winsome “Yellow Submarine,” as well as a brace of his solo songs. The fuse wasn’t really lit, however, until McCartney took the stage and, with seemingly minimal effort, truly tore the roof off the sucker.

“McCartney emphasized upbeat material — “Got to Get You Into My Life” and “Jet” were especially rousing — but didn’t shy away from hitting emotional notes with songs like “Here Today” (a dedication to the late John Lennon). He drew an ovation by ushering Starr onstage again with a wry “ladies and gentlemen, Billy Shears,” but while the sight of the pair sharing a stage had some nostalgic resonance, their personal rapport was more engaging than their musical affinity, which really clicked only on a time-traveling “With a Little Help From My Friends.”

Конечно же, что-то новое найти уже и не реально. Просто теперь будут перепаковывать и приводить в порядок всё изданное ранее другими бутлегерами, улучшать полиграфию, добавлять видео материалы.

Complete Rooftop Concert 2009 (Piccadilly Circus PCCD-069)Complete Rooftop Concert 2009 (Piccadilly Circus PCCD-069)

(63:59): Soundboard source: Get Back, Sing The Changes, Coming Up, Band On The Run, Let Me Roll It, Helter Skelter, Back In The USSR. Audience source: Tuning, Get Back, Sing The Changes, Coming Up, Band On The Run, Let Me Roll It, Helter Skelter, Back In The USSR

When Shea Stadium closed last September, it seemed natural that the opening of Citi Field across the street would present several contiguous events. After the last game played on September 28th, 2008 a ceremony was held to remember the forty-five year history of the Stadium and it ended with Tom Seaver throwing the final pitch to Mike Piazza and them walking out through the centerfield gate to the tune of The Beatles’ “In My Life.”

Shea’s cultural impact likewise had similarities. The Beatles were the first rock band to play at Shea a year after it opened and, during Billy Joel’s July 18th show which was the last performance, McCartney made a guest appearance. It is fitting that McCartney is the first artist to play at Citi Field, the new home for the Mets. Before his shows there McCartney made an appearance on Late Night with David Letterman and in the afternoon taped a short concert on the marquee of the Ed Sullivan Theater where Letterman is taped and where The Beatles made their American TV debut in forty five years earlier in 1964.

Complete Rooftop Concert 2009 on Piccadilly Circus contains two tape sources for the same seven song set. The first half is an excellent sounding soundboard recording and is followed by a version of the event utilizing several different audience recordings of the same event. While the soundboard is much better sounding, the audience tapes has some things that the soundboard lacks like the three minute tuning at the beginning where McCartney tells the crowd they have to wait for the TV engineers to tell them when to start. It is strange of Piccadilly Circus to edit together several audience tapes since there are some that exist of the entire set. The sound quality ranges from excellent (”Get Back”) to poor (”Let Me Roll It.”)

McCartney begins appropriately enough with “Get Back,” a song he played at the more famous rooftop concert in 1969. He announces ”Sing The Changes” as being by The Firemen, his latest project. The arrangements of the tunes he plays are the same he’s been using for the past couple years. “Coming Up” (which is incomplete in the audience tape) contains the “Peter Gunn Theme” interlude and “Let Me Roll It” the “Foxy Lady” ending. “Back In The U.S.S.R.” is dedicated to a place that doesn’t exist anymore. Piccadilly Circus utilize a normal jewel case with inserts printed on one side. It’s a good title overall of an interesting event from this past summer and is worth having.

Complete Revisionist Remixes
Even though the Beatles Remasters avoided remixing the stereo images of the songs, EMI and Apple have, over the years, released Beatles tracks remixed to a more "contemporary" stereo image. This is a fan made compilation of these mixes. It's currently being torrented over at the recently revived Demonoid tracker.

Вадим, а Ваш сайт по бутлегам будет ли обновляться? Он в сети был одним из лучших, жаль давно заброшен.

Да, пока работу приостановил. В первую очередь хочу закончить этот труд
http://beatlesvinyl.com.ua/

PAUL McCARTNEY & WINGS: THE TREVOR JONES COLLECTION 2 CDSPAUL McCARTNEY & WINGS: THE TREVOR JONES COLLECTION 2 CDS

More songs, sessions and outtakes spanning 1971-1987 plus a few bonus tracks that are newer finds.

DISC ONE:

01. Another Day
02. Hi Hi Hi Both of these are taken from acetates.

03. Mull Of Kintyre (count-in)
04. Deliver Your Children (Paul Mix) Recorded in August 1977.

05. Did We Meet Somewhere Before From early 1978, not too different from what's been bootlegged before, although it might be a little cleaner than what's previously circulated.

06. Reception (Long Version)
07. Cage (Instrumental Backing Track)
08. Getting Closer (Instrumental Backing Track)
09. Rockestra Theme - So Glad To See You Here (Instrumentals) These Back To The Egg outtakes could be sourced from the early 1979 rough assembly cassette Madinger and Easter mention. The track numbers given also hint that there may be more from this cassette yet to come.

10. Daytime Nighttime Suffering (early version) Dates from January-February 1979.

11. Fabulous / Teddy Bear
12. Momma's Little Girl (Intro)
13. Momma's Little Girl
14. Take It Away
15. No Values
16. Denny's Song These are also likely from a "Wings Rehearsal 1980" cassette. These all seem to be from Pugins Hall in Kent (the site of the aforementioned When It Rains It Pours boot), and seem to be rehearsals in earnest for a Wings album that never came to fruition. Take It Away has been dated as October 1980, while No Values is from November 7, 1980.

17. Waterspout
18. A Love For You Rough mixes from the overdub sessions in late 1980 for the Cold Cuts unreleased LP.

DISC TWO:

01. Take It Away (monitor mix)
02. What's That You're Doing (rough take)
03. Newt Rack (instrumental)
04. Ebony & Ivory From the Tug Of War sessions at Air Studios in London and Montserrat in March 1981. "Newt Rack" was recorded on March 11, 1981 with an appropriately whimsical throwaway title (get it, New tRack?) Stevie Wonder on #4 - not from Trevor Jones Tapes, but a rehearsal session.

05. Martha My Dear Instrumental Made for the Give My Regards to Broad Street movie - however unused in the "medley" with orchestra players.

06. Choba Medley (Part 1)
07. Choba Medley (Part 2) These two tracks contain excerpts from all the tracks recorded in the July 1987 sessions. This includes interesting but frustratingly incomplete snippets from the unreleased versions of "Cut Across Shorty," "No Other Baby," "Poor Boy," "Lend Me Your Comb" and "Take This Hammer."

BONUS TRACKS:
08. Honorary Consul Demo #1 - 1983 demos ex quality
09. Honorary Consul Demo #2
10. Honorary Consul Demo #3
11. Yvonne - 1986 Outtake - the best quality yet!
12. Ou Est Les Soliel - 1988 Demo
13. Party Party - 1989 (Forest DJ Only Mix)
14. Hello Picadilly - 1973 Radio Jungle by Wings
15. Baby Face - 1974 - from One Hand Clapping Sessions
16. You Gave Me The Answer - instrumental backing
17. Runaway - written by Paul, recorded in 1982 by Ivory

Artist: The Beatles
Artist: The Beatles
Label: Forgotten Records 2010 (1/2)

These tracks are not available on ANY OTHER Abbey Road Sessions compilation! This is the first time these songs have been released together!

The ‘Get Back’ Sessions are remembered as a fractious time in the history of the Fab 4, and as the sessions which ultimately spawned the ‘Let It Be’ Album.
However, amongst almost 100 hours of Nagra Rolls, the seeds were also sown for the famous ‘Abbey Road’ Album.
This album is Part 1 in a Collection of the best forgotten‘Abbey Road’ Album Sessions, recorded in Twickenham & Apple Studios in January 1969.
Edited and enhanced from the lossless Complete A/B Road Set,
for the very first time this sets pieces together the finest takes of the songs that would ultimately become ‘Abbey Road.’

This set contains none of the 'flab' that many of the 'Get Back' Sessions includes, it has been carefully Remastered and Edited from the Complete A/B Road Collection to include only the best takes of the tracks that became Abbey Road. No board announcements, etc, just the best of JPGR!

Track Listing:
CD1
1-4 'Something' Sessions
5-15 'Oh! Darling' Sessions

CD2
1-4 'Octopus' Garden' Sessions
5-7 'I Want You (She's So Heavy)' Sessions
8 'Sun King' Session
9-11 'Mean Mr. Mustard' Sessions
12 'Polythene Pam' Session
12-15 'Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight' Sessions
16 'Her Majesty' Session
